5 Ways in which WWE can use Kevin Owens in 2015

“Fight Owens Fight” is probably going to be the most used chant in WWE for the remaining part of 2015. He has been making major waves in WWE throughout his short run but it is the way in which they use him for the future that will stamp his legacy in the business. The remaining portion of 2015 will be crucial for the same.

The stronger WWE books him for rest of the year, the stronger his career is going to turn up. He does have enough talent to overcome all the stereotypical boundaries that wrestling business has and with the perfect push, Owens can flourish. With that said, here is a look at some of the best storylines that Kevin Owens could have in the coming months.

The new future of WWE

Triple H and Stephanie will need a dominant future rather than a chicken one

Even though he is having the best run of his career so far, Seth Rollins is being projected as a chicken champion right now. The Authority is backing him big time to be the future of WWE but at the same time, most of the fans have an assumption that Rollins cannot keep hold of the championship without the help from Triple H.

So what if a superstar who can be a dominant champion and be the future guy for Authority comes around? Kevin Owens is perfect for that job and he could easily dethrone Rollins as the top heel in WWE. And with the backing that he has from Hunter, it would not be a surprise if WWE makes his booking decision this year itself.

Mid Card dominator

US and Intercontinental Champion?

If it is mid-card where WWE wants to keep Owens in, then the best way they can do it is by letting him win both the United States Championship and Intercontinental Championship.

Owens is too strong at the moment to hold just one mid-card title and he deserves more. Letting him dominate the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, Bad News Barrett and others in the roster will set him up perfectly for the main event scene.

Holding both the championships at once will make Owens look unstoppable and with the right push, WWE might have themselves a new Brock Lesnar in their hands making it possible to book the two superstars at some point down the future.

The New CM Punk

The void of cult personality in WWE could be filled with Owens

The parallels between Kevin Owens and CM Punk are many. Both the superstars came from the Independent scene to make it into the WWE and at the same time, they are not the typical WWE prototypes. Also, Owens has all the resources to be the next big heel after CM Punk and thanks to the backing from the fans, he could also be the next cult personality.

CM Punk did leave a big void when he walked out of the company and the best way in which WWE can fill in that will be to build a new CM Punk. It will be sweet revenge for the company as far as their situation with Punk is concerned, and for Owens, it will be a big step forward in being the best in the World.

Legend Killer 2.0

The gimmick has a lot of potential

Remember the time when Randy Orton had this legend killer gimmick? He would just run over all the legends that came across him and made a name for himself during the process. The gimmick still has a lot of money in it and if there is anyone who could take up this gimmick in the current roster, it has to be Kevin Owens.

From the looks of it, he will have his first casualty in the form of John Cena at Elimination Chamber and WWE could book Owens with a string of legends from Sting to Hulk Hogan in the coming months. Once Owens gets the momentum he wants, he could then be pushed into the main event scene where he belongs.

The arrogant heel who ends Undertaker's career

Ending Undertaker’s career will set up Owens pretty well

Following up on the last point, if WWE wants to make Owens the next big thing in WWE, Undertaker is the best option. Taker is most probably going to have his last match at WrestleMania 32 and apart from being a farewell match, it also opens the door to put a superstar over the moon.

All WWE have to do is let Owens deliver promos about how he could end Taker's career at next WrestleMania. This could go on throughout the remaining months of 2015 and could also include some break in attacks by Owens. The long-running angles could then set up a match between Owens and Taker at next WrestleMania where Owens will live up to the words he said.
