Shayna Baszler is considered by some as the greatest NXT Women's Champion of all time and is the heavy favourite to win the Royal Rumble this year. However what is she doesn't win the Rumble and she is left to stay on NXT until the next Superstar ShakeUp?
Her feud with Rhea Ripley would surely be completed by the time WrestleMania weekend rolls around, so then what? A match with the original NXT Women's Champion Paige returning to the Black and Gold brand could be the perfect send off for the Submission Magician. Much like the story before Paige could eliminate Baszler in the Rumble sending The Queen of Spades into a rage.
They could work a slower more methodical style which could protect Paige and with her returning to NXT she wouldn't have to work often. It could also help NXT in its weekly hunt for more viewers of their program on the USA network.
