5 ways to make RAW exciting next week

The return of Wyatt will make things exciting once again
The return of Wyatt will make things exciting once again

Let's begin by confessing that RAW wasn't the best show, this week. We in the WWE Universe have stuck through with the company, through thick and thin. But sometimes, we must say it out loud when we feel disappointed as WWE fans. The ratings reflected how many fans tuned out during the course of the show.

The good news for WWE is that it's an easy fix. WWE is the world's longest running sports themed soap opera, and RAW just needs a few twists and turns to be exciting again. I will suggest a few of them in this article.

Let me know if you think any of these suggestions could make RAW a more exciting product. I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions about the same.

I'm sure those in WWE's Creative Team will put their best foot forward after the flak they've received online, following this week's show.

#5 Seth Rollins faces a new opponent for the prized Intercontinental Championship

This is not a knock against Dolph Ziggler
This is not a knock against Dolph Ziggler

Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler was the best part of RAW this week. However, I know that a lot of fans were disappointed in the fact that Ziggler showed up to answer Seth Rollins' Open Challenge. And this has nothing to do with his in-ring skill.

It has to do with the fact that we've seen Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins far too often on RAW, and also on pay-per-view. Having Rollins face someone fresh like Jinder Mahal or Bobby Lashley would have at least been interesting. While the match may not have been as good, at least it'd be a fresh bout.

I know that Finn Balor is a babyface, but I'd love to see him take on Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship, in a big singles match. The two men could light the stage on fire.

#4 Dean Ambrose stops being goofy

Last week's RAW absolutely killed any sort of mystique around Dean Ambrose
Last week's RAW absolutely killed any sort of mystique around Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose had become a mysterious character ever since he went heel. He'd show up in segments where he'd burn the Shield vest and show up in the crowd to play mind games with Seth Rollins. He'd even send Seth Rollins on a wild goose chase all over the arena. But last week was a different story.

Dean Ambrose was shown getting shots at a doctor's office in a very puzzling segment. It was strange to see Ambrose addressing the camera without the sneer he had, ever since the man went heel. It was also weird to see him get shots on his rear end.

Ambrose needs to be a shadowy figure that shows up to cause chaos and havoc. Having him return to his persona from two weeks ago, should absolutely do the trick.

#3 Dolph Ziggler turns face against McIntyre

McIntyre has found new friends and Ziggler should ideally be miffed

One of the biggest storyline loopholes on RAW was McIntyre being separated from Dolph Ziggler. There was no explanation given for the same, either. The two men were together one week and not together the next week. McIntyre was now part of an alliance with Corbin and Lashley.

I think it's time for Ziggler to become a babyface against McIntyre. This is because Ziggler vs. McIntyre is a feud that has not happened yet. And there's no babyface who gets a heel more over than Ziggler, with his incredible selling.

The babyface side of RAW is not very strong. With Strowman on the mend and Reigns undergoing treatment, there is no strong protagonist to end Corbin's tyranny.

Ziggler could be the missing link in creating a very strong program pitting good vs. evil.

#2 The Wyatt Family re-enters the Tag Team Division

The AoP seriously needs some strong competition
The AoP seriously needs some strong competition

This past week, Gable and Roode took on the AoP. The match was decent, but the finish was so maddening and silly, that in my opinion, it devalued the whole tag team division. Drake Maverick stole Bobby Roode's robe and urinated over it.

The best way to rectify this situation is to have a team that sizes up to the AoP take them on. Bray Wyatt could team up with Harper, who's not had anything to do on TV ever since Rowan got injured earlier this year. The Wyatt Family could give AoP the run that this powerhouse team deserves.

I know that Harper will have to change brands to make his way to RAW and join forces with Bray Wyatt. Considering he's not been used on TV, it wouldn't really be a big loss for SmackDown Live.

#1 Kurt Angle evens the odds against Corbin's team

Kurt Angle could absolutely even the odds
Kurt Angle could absolutely even the odds

Like I mentioned previously, RAW suffers from a massive lack of babyfaces. Balor and Elias are competent, but somehow the heel alliance of Corbin, McIntyre and Lashley just seem too powerful. There needs to be a powerful babyface who can even the odds against the heels. Who better than an Olympic Gold Medalist right?

The crowd has missed seeing Kurt Angle in action, these past few weeks. He suffered a squash at the hands of Drew McIntyre not very long ago. By having him return for revenge, WWE could make the product exciting again.

Kurt Angle just has a magnetic presence that lights up the screen the moment he is on. By having him reappear on the show, fans will have a strong babyface to root on to victory.

And thus, RAW could be exciting again.
