Factions have been a surefire way to create bonafide main-event stars for the WWE. Making these factions look dominant helps in making them memorable for years to come. One way to do so has been for all members to hold gold at the same time.

Throughout WWE history, group members have held gold among their ranks. From The Hart Foundation to The Nation of Domination, the leader has held WWE Championship and Intercontinental Championship gold. There have also been stables with members holding the Tag Titles. However, it is rare that all the members of the faction have held gold at the same time.

The groups that have accomplished this feat are among the greatest stables in wrestling history. It is a cool time to look back on these famous groups that stand the test of time. In this article, let's take a look at the five WWE factions that once all held gold.

#5 D-Generation X (WWE 1998)

D-Generation X has seen many iterations throughout its run in WWE.

The original trio of Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and Chyna held the WWF Championship and European Championship at the same time, while the two icons held tag gold later on.

In 1998, they had arguably their strongest version. With Triple H as the leader, X-Pac, The New Age Outlaws, and Chyna were a well oiled unit that created many incredible moments including their WCW invasion. It wasn't until the summer that they experienced their greatest success.

At Summerslam 1998, Triple H defeated The Rock in an iconic Ladder Match to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship. The New Age Outlaws also regained the WWF Tag Team Championships, beating Mankind in a Handicap Match. On September 15th, 1998 on Monday Night RAW, X-Pac defeated D-Lo Brown to win the European Championship.

D-Generation X all holding WWE championship gold only lasted for two weeks, but this accomplishment was rare and worth remembering. It raised their profile and legitimized their place as one of the most important stables in the company's history.

#4 The Corporation (WWE 1998)

The Corporation is often overlooked as a stable in WWE history. During the peak of the Attitude Era, the Vince McMahon-led group was considered the biggest heel faction. It was assembled as an army put together by the McMahon family to make Stone Cold Steve Austin's life "a living hell."

The group started at Survivor Series 1998 when Vince McMahon screwed Mankind in the Deadly Games tournament finals to help The Rock win his first WWE Championship. Their official formation occurred the following night on the November 16th, 1998 on Monday Night RAW. The entourage included Vince, The Rock, Shane McMahon, Sgt. Slaughter, Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson, and the Big Boss Man.

Later on during that same show, The Corporation recruited Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock. On the November 30th episode of RAW, Big Boss Man defeated Mankind in a ladder match to win the Hardcore Championship. Later, Shamrock and Boss Man defeated The New Age Outlaws to win the Tag Team Championships.

These wins made The Corporation the most dominant stable in all of WWE. They held the WWE Championship, Intercontinental Championship, Hardcore Championship and Tag Team Championships simultaneously. This feat only lasted for one week, but it remains a moment when the group stood above all others in the company.

#3 Evolution (WWE 2003-2004)

WWE hasn't seen many groups as decorated as Evolution. Triple H put the stable together in a bid to guarantee that he held on to his World Heavyweight Championship, but he also wanted to represent the past, present, and future of the business. He was the present being the top guy on RAW and Ric Flair was the past as one of the greatest World Champions of all time.

The future would be represented by two superstars: Randy Orton, the third generation star had all the attributes to be an all-time great that he of course lived up to, and Batista, the monstrous Animal who was hungry and had a look unlike anyone else in WWE at the time.

it took the faction some time before they were all together, but as soon as they were all healthy, success came instantly. At Armaggeddon 2003, Evolution had their coronation as the premier stable in wrestling. The night started with Batista and Ric Flair defeating the Dudley Boys to win the WWE Tag Tea Championships.

Later that same evening, Randy Orton beat Rob Van Dam to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. In the main event, Triple H defeated Goldberg and Kane in a Triple Threat Match to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship. The scene at the end of the night was epic.

Evolution stood dominant to end Armaggeddon 2003 on top. This was an iconic visual that showed Evolution would be remembered as one of the most important stables in WWE history.

#2 The Shield (WWE 2013)

The Shield is one of the most successful stables in WWE history. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose represented the top prospects from the company's development during the time. After debuting at Survivor Series 2012, the group had a brief alliance with WWE Champion CM Punk that led to a rivalry with Ryback.

The group also attacked WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, sparking animosity that would last for months. The Shield defeated Ryback and Team Hell No at TLC 2012 in their debut match. This started a months-long winning streak that gave them plenty of momentum. However, their momentum hit its peak at Extreme Rules 2013.

On that night, Dean Ambrose defeated Kofi Kingston to win the United States Championship. He would go on to have a record-breaking reign, holding the title for 351 days. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins beat Team Hell No to win the WWE Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules 2013 as well.

The pay-per-view brought a defining visual of their domination with all three members donned in championship gold. Reigns and Rollins lost their titles in October of 2013, but it didn't stop The Shield from continuing their success throughout their time together.

All three men would also go on to win the WWE Championship on separate times, furthering their legacy as an all-time great faction.

#1 The New Day (WWE 2019)

When it is all set and done, The New Day may surpass all stables in WWE history by becoming the only group to never break up. Not only are they known as one of the greatest tag teams in company history, but their success as a stable is truly undeniable.

Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E have held WWE Tag Team gold on 11 occasions. With the group using the Freebird Rule, they can each stake claim to this historic run as the most prolific tag team in wrestling.

Most recently, Big E has won the Intercontinental Championship and became Mr. Money In The Bank after moving to SmackDown. Prior to him finally reaching his potential, Kofi Kingston was The New Day member who climbed to the mountaintop of WWE.

At Elimination Chamber 2019, Kofi Kingston entered the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match and put on a star-making performance, coming close to winning the top prize before coming up short to Daniel Bryan. That near victory was just what he needed to propel himself on the road to WrestleMania 35.

At the Showcase of Immortals, Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan in an excellent match to win the WWE Championship. The dramatic post-match scene showed the love that the fans had for not just Kofi but the entire New Day. It also showed the love and aduration that the three men had for one another. Their magical run in 2019 would continue for months.

At Extreme Rules 2019, Big E and Xavier Woods defeated Daniel Bryan and Rowan to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. This became the first time in the group's four-year run that they all held gold at once. Kofi Kingston was WWE Champion while Big E and Xavier Woods were SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

In 2021, The New Day is still in tact as a stable despite the ups and downs of the industry and them being separated by the brand split. They should be considered among the greatest stables in WWE history.

Their time when all held gold remains as one of the most legendary times of The New Day's legacy.
