#4 Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio could be on his way out of WWE.

Rey Mysterio has received a great amount of television time lately as his rivalry with Seth Rollins has put him in the spotlight once again. But judging by the way the program has evolved, the whole saga seems like a way of familiarizing the WWE Universe with Dominic Mysterio, who has been a pivotal part of this storyline too. Rey Mysterio is scheduled to battle Rollins in an "Eye for an Eye" match at Extreme Rules.

A report emerged a few weeks ago, clearly stating that Mysterio was working without a contract. His previous deal with WWE has ended, and the masked luchador hasn't signed a new one. When Mysterio re-signed in 2018, he came intending to have one last good run in WWE before hanging up the boots for good. Hence, retirement seems to be on the horizon.

It seems as if the high-flyer is preparing for life without wrestling. The most likely reason for him sticking around is to help his son Dominic out in his initial days at WWE. His career does warrant a Hall of Fame induction as he has put laid his body on the line for the fans. It would be difficult to watch a fan-favorite like Mysterio retire, but retirement is an unfortunate reality for every WWE star.
