5 WWE Raw Superstars who can appear on Smackdown, on the road to Survivor Series

Jericho could add SmackDown roster to his list

With the brand split back in place, Survivor Series is all set to be the stage for a brand war between, Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. Though the current brand split is still in its infancy, WWE announcing three separate traditional elimination matches, for the pay-per-view, has managed to evoke interest throughout the WWE Universe.

This also opens the door for cross-brand promotions, where superstars of one brand could come to the other, just to increase the hostility. Calling it an invasion, would be premature, considering that the brand split happened only recently.

However, this would be a good idea to build up Survivor Series. With that said, here is a look at some of the superstars from SmackDown that could show up on Monday Night Raw:

#5 Braun Strowman

Strowman could take out some big names on SmackDown roster

Why: Dominance. Braun Strowman has been booked strongly, ever since he broke up with the Wyatt Family. He has been on a rampage on Raw and recently, WWE stepped up his relevance by making him part of the Raw’s Survivor Series team.

Strowman secured a dominating win in a Battle royal, to earn the spot and sending him over to SmackDown would mean complete destruction.

How: As Mick Foley is a babyface manager, Strowman, going to SmackDown with Mick’s consent, would not make much sense. However, if Stephanie sends Strowman to SmackDown, without Mick knowing, it could establish two things.

First; Stephanie backing Strowman would make him more worthy of our hate. Secondly, WWE exposes some friction between Stephanie and Mick, which could be another subplot for Survivor Series.

#4 Bo Dallas

Bo is underrated

Why: Comedic brilliance. Bo Dallas is perhaps one of the most underrated entertainers in the WWE roster right now. During his time in NXT, he was a credible champion and when he was brought up to the main roster, he transformed into a goofy heel that was easy to hate. And now, Bo is still on the goofy path which could be utilised.

How: Bo could show up at SmackDown without the permission of either Stephanie McMahon or Mick Foley. He could announce himself as the representative of Raw and get knocked out by someone on SmackDown.

This leaves the door open for a storyline on Raw, where Bo could go behind Stephanie and Foley forgiveness; finally giving him something to do.

#3 Mick Foley

Mick and Bryan has a good relationship

Why: He’s the General Manager of Raw, that’s why. Mick has been the voice of Monday Night Raw ever since he became the GM, and Foley showing up on SmackDown makes a lot of sense. He is a baby face as mentioned earlier and would not want his superstars to get physical, resulting in Foley himself showing up to hype the match.

How: Foley, as usual, could have a friendly appearance, after talking with Daniel Bryan. But then again, such an appearance would not sell the pay-per-view. So to make matters heated, someone like The Miz could come out, insult and get physical with Foley. Foley being taken out at SmackDown would be a good motivator for the superstars on Raw.

#2 New Day

Recreating DX Magic

Why: They are one of the most entertaining things about WWE programming these days. Anything that New Day touches turns to gold. They are guaranteed to entertain throughout the show and having segments of New Day, between SmackDown’s usual dose of action, is bound to be a successful venture for the WWE.

How: Remember the time when D-generation X invaded WCW?

WWE should New Day do something similar with SmackDown. The team has enough potential to pull it off and New Day trying to get into the SmackDown building throughout the night, would be comedic heaven for the fans.

#1 Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens

Best Friends

Why: If you even had the question ‘why’, in your mind, you just made the list. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, Owens is the reigning WWE Universal champion. Even though WWE has not given him the booking that he needs so far, on paper, he is the face of WWE Raw.

Showing up as the representative of Raw on SmackDown is something that champions always do.

How: Daniel Bryan could invite Kevin Owens over to SmackDown. Jericho, concerned for his best friend, could then show up as an uninvited guest. As Owens gets treated well by Bryan, Jericho could run around the SmackDown roster adding everyone to the list.
