Under the WWE umbrella, Dean Ambrose is seen as the longest-reigning United States Champion of the modern era after holding the title for 351 days back when The Shield were finding their feet in WWE. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were Tag Team Championships at the same time after the trio won the titles at Extreme Rules in 2013 and Ambrose then went on to rarely defend his title.

Ambrose was thrown into a number of six-man tag team matches alongside his teammates throughout the next year, which meant that many fans forgot that Ambrose even had a Championship. After AJ Lee left the company back in 2015, WWE pushed Nikki Bella in order to eliminate her record Divas Championship reign, it's easy to see the company doing the same thing after Ambrose departed WWE last year and made his way over to AEW.

The United States Championship currently sits around the waist of Andrade, who could definitely be boosted by a lengthy reign with a mid-card title.
