By the time 2010 came around, Shawn Michaels had decided that he was going to give another shot at The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak. He had previously lost to The Deadman at WrestleMania 25, in what many fans regard as the greatest match in the show's history. Michaels cost The Phenom the World title inside Elimination Chamber, and the match was set for The Show of Shows. At WrestleMania, The Undertaker emerged victorious again after a hard-fought match.
The next night on WWE RAW, Michaels gave his farewell speech, as the stipulation of the match made sure that he had to retire. An emotional Michaels addressed thousands of equally emotional fans who had been there throughout his illustrious career and had watched him steal the show on numerous occasions. Michaels left for backstage and was greeted by his best friend Triple H, who hugged him in an incredibly moving visual. Michaels would come back in 2018 for a Tag Team match pitting The Undertaker and Kane with DX.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
