Which Superstars will be competing in this year's Money in the Bank ladder matches?

Everyone loves a good rumour, right? Something to talk about with other people over a water cooler. In WWE, everything moves so fast. Not just the Superstars in the ring, but also all the latest news and rumours that reach the public every single day.

With WrestleMania and the Superstar Shake-up behind us, the Superstars of RAW and SmackDown will now look ahead to the Money in the Bank pay per view.

Here are five rumours from wrestling this week that you really need to know.

Note: Please remember that every rumour presented here is just that, a rumour, something to have fun with. Whilst some may seem more likely than others, please take all of them with a grain of salt.

#5 Reason behind no Live events

Live events didn't take place this weekend due to the company's decade-long deal with Saudi Arabia.
Live events didn't take place this weekend due to the company's decade-long deal with Saudi Arabia.

Though the majority of fans only see Superstars on RAW, SmackDown Live or Pay Per View, there's plenty more than that. House shows take up the majority of a Superstar's time in the ring, as wrestlers are expected to compete most nights.

Despite this, there were no WWE Live events this weekend, though for a very special reason. According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE were originally going to have one of their Saudi Arabia special events take place on May 3, and wanted to give the roster the weekend off before it.

Obviously, this hasn't transpired, as the next show in the ten-year deal between the company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been moved to June 7, with the next major event for WWE being Money in the Bank, which will take place in the United States on May 19.

#4 Nikki Cross heading to the red brand

Cross made her main roster debut on RAW but has also competed on SmackDown Live.

Just before Christmas last year, the WWE Universe got an early holiday present in the form of six call-ups from NXT. And though some have fared better than others (we're looking at you EC3), one star who continues to remain a mystery is Nikki Cross.

Since being called up, Cross has been scarcely used, and has appeared on both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live.

According to the Observer though, Cross will eventually be settled onto the RAW roster, and it is likely her real-life husband, Killian Dain will join her.

Though the Superstar Shakeup has come and gone, several wrestlers from both brands have been moved around recently, so don't be surprised if both Cross and Dain end up wearing RAW colors in the very near future.

#3 Both MITB ladder match participants leaked

Local ads for the XL Center may have leaked the Ladder match participants.

On May 19, the WWE will return to one of its most popular pay per views of the year: Money in the Bank. The focus of the night, will be the two Money in the Bank ladder matches, where a Superstar has the chance to be thrust into the main event scene overnight.

A recent leak from the XL Center, where MITB will take place, may have spoiled who will be announced.

If the images circulating online are true, then Ricochet, Rey Mysterio, Cesaro, Drew McIntyre, Aleister Black, Andrade, and Lars Sullivan will compete in the men's ladder match.

Meanwhile for the women, the advertisement says it will be Tamina, Bayley, Natalya, Sonya Deville, Carmella, Ember Moon, Naomi and the women who has been in the news a lot lately, Sasha Banks.

Eight women will reportedly compete in the ladder match, as opposed to the men's seven.

#2 Bryan injury causes major change

Bryan hasn't been seen since losing the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.
Bryan hasn't been seen since losing the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.

Fans were shocked when Daniel Bryan returned to the ring in 2018, and we're even more shocked when the former YES! Man turned on the fans to capture the WWE Championship.

But after losing the title to Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35, Bryan hasn't been seen since, as a rumoured injury has everyone worried.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bryan was going to have a title rematch at Money in the Bank, though plans have obviously changed.

Though Kingston does not yet have an opponent for his first world title defence on pay per view, it seems likely to be Kevin Owens, who attacked Kingston and Xavier Woods recently after briefly replacing the injured Big E in the New Day.

Once again, Bryan's career is in great jeopardy

#1 Lesnar unsure on UFC return

Will Lesnar regain the UFC Heavyweight Championship?
Will Lesnar regain the UFC Heavyweight Championship?

Brock Lesnar is a Superstar unlike any other. After leaving WWE in 2004 after a decorated career, the Beast joined UFC and ruled the Octagon before coming back to wrestling in 2012.

In a special appearance at UFC 226 recently, Lesnar made headlines when he got into an altercation with Daniel Cormier. Cormier has even challenged Lesnar to a fight and has said he will even put the UFC Heavyweight title on the line.

According to the Rod Pederson blog, Lesnar hasn't made his mind up yet about the fight which Cormier hopes will be this Summer. An understandable response by Lesnar, who is a legit tough guy, but hasn't had a fight in over seven years.

That said, it would be an epic sight for any wrestling fan if Lesnar returned to WWE as the new UFC Heavyweight Champion.
