Everyone loves a good rumour right? Something to talk about over a water cooler.

In WWE, everything moves so fast. Not just the Superstars in the ring, but all the latest news and rumors that reach the public every single day.

The Royal Rumble pay per view is now behind us, which means the road to WrestleMania 35 has officially begun.

It is a road littered with plot-holes, twists and turns, as every Superstar in the WWE hopes to make an impact and get a match at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Here are five rumors from wrestling from this week that you really need to know.

Note: Please remember that every rumor presented here are just that, rumors, just to have fun with. Whilst some may seem more likely than others, please take all of them with a grain of salt.

#5 Rowan replacement

Rowan has been Bryan's right-hand man, since returning at the Royal Rumble.
Rowan has been Bryan's right-hand man, since returning at the Royal Rumble.

At the Royal Rumble, Daniel Bryan retained the WWE Championship by the skin of his teeth, with a big, though bizarre assist by Rowan.

Since then, the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion has appeared regularly alongside Bryan, and will presumably be a factor going into WrestleMania.

But despite this being a huge step-up for Rowan, who suffered an injury in mid-2018, the near 7-footer wasn't the first pick as Bryan's right-hand man.

According to the Wade Keller Podcast, this role was originally intended for NXT's Lars Sullivan, who was announced as a graduate to the main roster during the Christmas Eve RAW.

Sullivan reportedly suffered an anxiety attack not long before his main roster debut, as the company has opted to let Sullivan get mentally prepared for the move.

#4 Jericho vs. Lesnar in 2019?

Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar may be two of the most successful Superstars in WWE history, which is why it's shocking to discover that these two icons have never faced off in a singles match.

Despite never facing, it's clear that Jericho is hoping for a match against the current Universal Champion, according to the Wrestling Observer.

The Observer has mentioned several tweets by the inaugural Undisputed Champion as proof of Jericho hoping for the match, as the tweets were quickly deleted, though also admitted that a match between the two is highly unlikely.

Lesnar is riding high as the top star in WWE, and with Jericho recently signing with All Elite Wrestling, it seems the two will not collide, as the WWE will pay seemingly anything to keep the Beast Incarnate.

#3 WWE desperate to re-sign

All Elite Wrestling has already signed some huge stars, including former WWE talent like Chris Jericho.
All Elite Wrestling has already signed some huge stars, including former WWE talent like Chris Jericho.

Between the rise of All Elite Wrestling, and the consistent growth of New Japan Pro Wrestling, 2019 is shaping up to be nothing short of a bidding war.

And whilst AEW has some serious financial backing in the form of Tony Khan, it's clear that Vince McMahon is unwilling to give up even a single Superstar.

According to the PWInsider, officials from the WWE were backstage at last week's SmackDown Live, and was trying to re-sign anyone whose contract is up in less than two years.

Whilst we've heard about WWE wanting to re-sign stars whose contracts' end soon, this two-year window definitely shows that even if they won't use you, they'll pay big money for you to not go to All Elite Wrestling, with Superstars reportedly being offered double pay.

#2 Banks-rupt

Banks failed to capture the RAW Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble.

She may not have won the RAW Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble, but Sasha Banks put on one hell of a show against 'Rowdy' Ronda Rousey.

According to Post Wrestling though, the match against the UFC Hall of Famer really did take it out of the Boss, who has missed live events recently.

Whilst the nature of her injury is unclear, it doesn't seem to be the worst, as Banks is expected to compete on RAW.

She will team with Bayley to face Alicia Fox and Nikki Cross to determine the final RAW team to participate in the Elimination Chamber match for the Women's Tag Team Championships.

And according to a local advertisement in Houston, where the pay per view will take place, Boss 'n Hugs will win tonight and qualify for the structure.

#1 WrestleMania main event in jeopardy

Sasha Banks may be at risk of missing a few months, but she's not the only one whose future is in question.

At the Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch punched their tickets on the road to WrestleMania, by winning the men's and women's Royal Rumbles respectively.

And whilst the two have guaranteed matches against Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey, both may be in question, as the two are dealing with injuries.

Becky Lynch missed a house show this week, though it's unclear whether this is a legit injury or a work following her injured leg from the Royal Rumble.

According to Post Wrestling, Rollins is also working hurt, who has apparently missed house shows in recent days, and isn't expected to return to the ring until he's 100%.
