#2: Matches that won't be taking place at Summerslam
As of the time of writing, nine matches have been announced for the upcoming SummerSlam Pay Per View, and if the previous report is true, this number is set to grow to 13. While long WWE events are nothing new, it seems that adding any more than this would be overkill, as several matches fans were expecting haven't been announced.
According to the same report by Wrestling Observer, Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura won't be defending his title, despite speculation that he would be facing Ali.
Similarly, both the new RAW Tag Team Champions, The OC, and the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) will reportedly not be defending their gold at the show, according to an internal list circulating in WWE.
