#3 Why Payback is just a week after SummerSlam 2020
WWE made a surprising announcement recently about the Payback pay-per-view as they revealed that it will take place just a week after SummerSlam 2020.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision to have Payback just after SummerSlam 2020 is being done as an experiment:

"Just an experiment to see how it works. They must have an idea for a hot angle coming off SummerSlam that they felt needed an immediate follow-up. That or, it was just an idea they are trying."
One match has been confirmed for the show as the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, Sasha Banks and Bayley, will defend their titles. WWE have yet to reveal who The Golden Role Models will face on August 30, 2020 at the Amway Center. WWE will add more matches following SummerSlam 2020, and the RAW and SmackDown after this weekend's pay-per-view.
The Payback PPV wasn't held in 2018 or 2019, the first time that the PPV did not feature since being first introduced back in 2013.
