Finishers create a distinctive identity for the superstars which remain with them throughout their life. Mostly, the protocol for using an active wrestler's move is to contact them and ask if you can use it, however, there have been instances where the superstars surprisingly stunned their adversary by stealing their finishing move.

The moment happened at Extreme Rules 2015 when Orton was facing WWE Champion Seth Rollins in a steel cage match. Orton was banned from using the RKO by the authority that night during the match. However, an interference from Kane and J&J Security led to Orton blasting an RKO to Kane. Moments after Orton recovered himself from the move, he was stupefied with an RKO by Seth Rollins.

But this didn't just end here, At a WWE Live event in Antwerp, Belgium Randy Orton offended Rollins by trying to perform a Curb stomp on him, however, Rollins reversed his own finisher with a vicious RKO.
