5 WWE Superstars who could move to SmackDown Live

Some superstars are wasted in Raw

The WWE draft proved to be a headline maker due to a wide variety of reasons. While most of WWE’s decisions happened to be spot on, there were certain others that the company is yet to justify. And when WWE mentioned about the possibility of superstars switching brand with the consent of their General Managers, it underlined the fact that WWE did leave some huge plot holes during the drafts.

What inspired us to come up with this list is the above-mentioned possibility of superstars switching brands. In this list, we are going to take a look at the superstars that could move to SmackDown so that they could get a better booking.

#1 Cesaro

Main event is where he belongs

Cesaro is one of those superstars that had problems with the draft. He was not happy about being drafted to Raw and he was vocal about the same as well. The main event scene of Monday Night Raw is already packed with established names such as Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and the now, the introduction of Finn Balor have left Cesaro out in the cold.

He is restricted to the mid-card scene as of now and his status is showing no signs of improvement. On the other hand, Cesaro will be exposed to more opportunities on SmackDown. We know that Cena is taking a light schedule and WWE pushing Ziggler to the top proves that SmackDown is looking to create stars; which is an ideal situation for Cesaro.

#2 Paige

Paige could be the face of SmackDown’s women’s division

Paige is currently going through a rough phase in her career. Her relationship with Alberto Del Rio was all over the internet and later, rumors came up suggesting that the WWE management has problems with her. Injuries followed and her in-ring ability never got the focus that it deserved. If we look back, Paige was one of the wrestlers that kick started the whole ‘revolution’ and now, she is being wasted.

Being on Monday Night Raw, where Sasha Banks and Charlotte are feuding for the top spot makes matters worse for the Brit. If moved to SmackDown, Paige could get a much better booking. She would be grouped with Becky Lynch and Natalya as all the other women in the SmackDown roster is still trying to make a name for themselves.

#3 Braun Strowman

He cannot squash forever

Splitting up the Wyatt Family was one of those decisions that WWE fans did not take well. Specifically speaking, Braun Strowman was destined become irrelevant without the aid of Bray Wyatt. Braun is still green when it comes to in-ring work and his microphone work is not up to the mark as well. WWE has been booking Braun in squash matches since the drafts and it won’t be late before the fans get tired of the same.

Letting Braun move to SmackDown and reuniting with Bray Wyatt, on the other hand, would be a smart move. Braun could improve under Bray and at the same time, Bray gets more power in his arsenal for pursuing the WWE championship that he wants.

#4 Dudley Boyz

Teams in SmackDown could use their experience

The Dudley Boyz is a tag team that could be used to put over young talent. They have the legendary status appended in front of their name but is currently being wasted on Raw. The reason for this is simple; the babyface tag teams on Raw need not be put over. New Day is already over with the fans and so are Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Though there are heel teams, it won’t make sense for one heel team to put over another.

On SmackDown, however, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan could benefit big time by spending ring time with the Dudley boyz. The Hype Bros have a similar scenario so it makes sense to move D-Von and Bubba to SmackDown.

#5 Sami Zayn

Zayn could be the top baby face of SmackDown

Sami Zayn has a similar situation to that of Cesaro. He is talented enough to be in the main event scene, but the presence of other superstars offer Zayn with a tough time. Also, being on Raw puts him in the danger of being restricted to the Cruiserweight division as WWE is looking to bring it in soon. Though Zayn will be an interesting addition to the division, he deserves much better.

WWE is trying to pull off the underdog story with Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown but it would’ve been more effective if they had Zayn in place of the Show off. It’s still not too late to bring Zayn to SmackDown and make him the top babyface there.
