#4 Heavy Machinery

An unlikely success story in 2019.
An unlikely success story in 2019.

At the start of 2019, Heavy Machinery was touted to be a failure as one of the many moving parts in a tag team division that WWE didn't seem to care about. They were part of the group of NXT acts that were getting called up after the McMahon family's public apology for the product they were putting on. Seriously, how much has actually changed since that happened?

Anyway, Otis and Tucker have defied all expectations of mediocrity to become one of the more fun acts on the main roster. The 'Steaks and Weights' mantra is a solid basis for comedy, while Otis's outrageous mannerisms have made him one of the most over men on SmackDown. His "romance" with Mandy Rose is fun to see and is thoroughly more entertaining than their counterpart of sorts on RAW.

While their forte lies in entertainment, Heavy Machinery has had their fair share of good matches. The program they shared with Daniel Bryan and Rowan for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships was extremely fun, with the resultant match at Stomping Grounds being one of the best on the entire show. It is surely a matter of time before Heavy Machinery captures some gold of their own. 2020 could very well be their year.
