Popularly known as Earthquake Evans, Canadian wrestler John Tenta was one of the most dominant Superstars in WrestleMania history. He made his WrestleMania debut at the sixth edition of the event, beating Hercules in a singles match. Earthquake registered his second consecutive WrestleMania win by defeating his former mate, Greg Valentine.

Because of his body size, WWE booked him to squash Adam Bomb in a quick match at WrestleMania X. Before that he had taken part in a tag team match along with his Natural Disasters teammate, Typhoon. Earthquake and Typhoon wreaked havoc at WrestleMania VIII when they faced Money Inc. in a WWF Tag Team Championship match. Although the odds favored them, they could only defeat Irwin R. Schyster and Ted DiBiase via count out.

His only defeat at WrestleMania came at the 17th edition of the event, where John took part in a gimmick battle royal. He entered the match as Earthquake. The bout featured the likes of Sergeant Slaughter, Jim Cornette, Kamala, Kim Chee and many others. The Iron Sheik emerged victorious in that match. Unfortunately, Earthquake passed away in 2006 because of a bladder cancer.
