Matt Riddle is certainly missing Pete Dunne of late

Matt Riddle has had a tough couple of months on NXT. Firstly, his partner Pete Dunne has been unable to return to WWE due to travel restrictions. Secondly, the replacement that Stallion Pete chose for himself in Timothy Thatcher turned his back on The Original Bro.

Riddle and Thatcher have been going at each other in the last few weeks now and the latter secured a huge win in a Cage Match during this week's episode of NXT. However, this rivalry seems far from over in my opinion and we can expect the duo to square off again during NXT TakeOver: In Your House.

This shouldn't discount the great run that Riddle had as a tag team competitor in WWE during the first quarter of 2020 as the NXT Tag Team Champion, a title he only lost because Thatcher walked out on him. His "How much fish could Bobby Fish fry if Bobby Fish could fry fish?" chant when The BroserWeights were feuding with The Undisputed Era was truly hilarious and struck a chord with the WWE Universe as well.
