2018 was a year of ups and downs for WWE. While things looked up in terms of stock prices, viewership reached an all-time low, on several occasions. The New Day was once the hottest act in the company. Especially when they were on a tear, setting the record for the longest title reign in WWE history. But since then, their popularity has fizzled out and they're only a shadow of the act that they were.

2019 may be the year when they decide to go their separate ways and explore individual pursuits. Big E, in particular, has often been dubbed as someone that could do very well as a singles performer. Before the Roman Reigns experiment even began, Big E was supposed to be the man who was chosen to be the face of WWE.

One way to book this turn would be to have one of the New Day members turn on the others and thereby go heel. In my opinion, Big E should take up this role.
