WWE RAW after Survivor Series 2019 was a brilliant show with several exciting moments that got the fans at the edge of their seats. One of the biggest highlights of the show was Rey Mysterio who defeated AJ Styles to become the new United States Champion.

Mysterio won a Fatal 4-way match to earn a shot at Styles' title. While the two were squaring off inside the ring, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows came to the ring and attacked Mysterio. Soon after that, Randy Orton walked out and took down both members of The OC.

He then went on to provide the much-needed assistance to Mysterio who capitalized on the advantage and pinned 'The Phenomenal One' to become the United States Champion.

Now that Mysterio is the United States Champion, here is a list of WWE Superstars who can challenge him for the title.

#5 Ricochet

WWE's Resident Superhero!
WWE's Resident Superhero!

Ricochet was one of the Superstars in the Fatal 4-way where WWE's 'resident Superhero' was pinned by Rey Mysterio that earned the latter a much-deserved shot at the title.

It would be fair for him to demand a shot at the title since this entire stipulation was his idea. Even if Ricochet fails in defeating Mysterio, it would still work wonders in terms of adding more credibility to his push towards the top of the roster.

We know that Ricochet is a promising Superstar and has already earned the trust of WWE creative. He has been involved in important storylines and is often portrayed as the perfect babyface.

Challenging Mysterio for the title would be the first opportunity for Ricochet to prove to the WWE Universe that he is indeed Championship material. Needless to say, the rivalry between these two Superstars is bound to be iconic, if and when it transpires.

#4 Humberto Carrillo

Will he go after the United States Championship once again?
Will he go after the United States Championship once again?

Ever since his arrival on Monday Night RAW, Humberto Carrillo has received a huge push. At Crown Jewel, he eliminated Erick Rowan and Luke Harper to win a shot at AJ Styles' championship.

Although Carrillo was unsuccessful in winning the match, the high-flying star managed to impress the WWE Universe with his resilience.

In the last few weeks, we have seen Carrillo cross paths with the former US Champion several times. In fact, it's his rivalry with AJ Styles that allowed the storyline to improve and give more screen time to the likes of The OC and The Street Profits.

Carrillo could demand for another shot at the United States title as it was he who actually had the shot at the title tonight but ended up losing it after being attacked by his Anderson and Gallows.

A potential match between Mysterio and Carrillo would be a master vs apprentice sort of rivalry as the current US champion is revered by Mexican Superstars, like Carrillo.

#3 Andrade

Could we see them engage in a rivalry once again?
Could we see them engage in a rivalry once again?

Andrade is one of the most talented Superstars on the Red brand. However, he hasn't quite been used to his full potential, owing to the lack of good storylines. But, that can change with him challenging Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship.

Andrade has immense potential and must engage in a grueling rivalry that will help in establishing him as one of the most prominent names on RAW. After all, he was one of the first few picks during the WWE Draft 2019.

Andrade and Mysterio can narrate a brilliant story that will help Mysterio's title reign in the long run. Moreover, it will allow Andrade to be involved in a storyline that has the potential to keep the fans invested for weeks.

They both share a brutal history. The suffering at the hands of Andrade almost forced Mysterio to retire from WWE. But he fought back, and now, he has gold around waist.

#2 Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre has had a long run on the main roster, without any title wrapped around his waist. Tonight, he was one of the participants in the fatal 4-way to determine the number one contender for the United States Championship. The same match that granted Mysterio the opportunity to challenge Styles for the title.

McIntyre is a promising Superstar and deserves to enter the title picture. It would be unfair to ask him to focus directly on the most coveted prize in the brand - the WWE Championship. That would appear to be a forced push that will ultimately end up destroying every bit of repertoire that he has built.

Following the 2019 Draft, McIntyre moved to RAW, and he can now be booked to have a meaningful run on the Red brand. If he gets to challenge Rey Mysterio, he will be going up against a legend and McIntyre strongly believes that this day and age belong to the up and coming Superstar.

This rivalry may also witness McIntyre turning into an anti-hero which will help revamp his character on the Red brand.

#1 Randy Orton

"The Viper" does what he wants

WWE Superstar Randy Orton has been teasing a face turn for the last few weeks. Although he has maintained that he does what he wants, Orton has been pretty helpful to the babyfaces in the recent past.

He played a major role in helping Rey Mysterio tonight. The latter was being attacked by The OC during his championship match against Styles. To Mysterio's relief, 'The Viper' took down Styles with an RKO before Mysterio went on to land the final blow and pin 'The Phenomenal One' to win the United States Championship.

It would be a huge surprise if Orton turns on Mysterio right now and challenges him for the United States Championship that wouldn't have changed hands if not for him.

However, if the Apex Predator were to challenge Rey Mysterio for the Championship, their feud might not start until the end of the year. Otherwise, his booking in the last few weeks will account for nothing.
