Born in Laval, Quebec, Canada, Sami is a former NXT Champion and two-time Intercontinental Champion.
His rivalry with real-life best friend, Kevin Owens, has been well documented this year with a showdown at WrestleMania 37 in which KO emerged victorious. Zyan got his revenge at Hell in a Cell with the rivalry culminating in the Last Man Standing match to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match which was won by Owens.
