6 ft 4 in WWE star to return and challenge Seth Rollins for his title at Royal Rumble 2024? Exploring potential twist

Seth Rollins is one of the top superstars on WWE's roster and is rightfully the World Heavyweight Champion on RAW. However, heading into Royal Rumble 2024, he is still without an opponent. That said, one returning 6 ft 4 in star could be a worthy challenger.

The star in question is none other than WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther. The Ring General is a dominant force and is on the run as the longest-reigning IC Champion in the company's history. And now, 581+ days into his reign, he could look to add another belt to his collection.

Gunther himself has plenty of suitable challengers. The Miz has been a constant thorn in his side, and Jey Uso has also expressed interest in challenging him. He last competed on the December 18, 2023, episode of Monday Night RAW, where he successfully defended his title against the A-Lister.

But, despite all the superstars gunning for his title, The Ring General could just bypass them all and look for a fresh challenge. So, why not Seth Rollins?

It certainly would be quite the swerve from Gunther. That said, facing someone like Rollins, especially at the Royal Rumble, would be no easy task. But, given all he has accomplished so far in WWE, it's safe to say he'd be up for the challenge.

At the end of the day, this is all just mere speculation. Anything can happen between now and January 27. We just have to wait and see what WWE's creative team has in store for us.

Seth Rollins will be focused on Jinder Mahal ahead of the Royal Rumble

Not having an opponent for the Royal Rumble is the least of Seth Rollins' concerns right now. He will be looking toward next week's episode of Monday Night RAW, where he will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Jinder Mahal.

The match was set after Mahal interrupted Rollins and got into it in last week's episode of the red brand. Things are sure to get interesting as the WWE Universe gears up for a rematch between the first two superstars who competed for the inaugural NXT Championship in 2012.

At the end of the day, things seem to be heating up around Rollins, but he is no stranger to this.
