#5 CM Punk

Is this on the cards?
Is this on the cards?

When CM Punk started chatting about pro wrestling again on WWE Backstage, the possibilities started creeping into everyone's mind. There is a thought within the WWE that Punk would want to wrestle a match again if the price was right.

It's very possible that Vince McMahon and Triple H are well aware of the attention The Best in the World could bring to the promotion. As the past has shown, McMahon has been willing to do business no matter the differences he may have had with the talent.

Perfect examples of this are people like Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and numerous others who most believed would never work in WWE again but eventually came back.

Seth Rollins is also aware of the 'Big Money' potential of the match and has actually challenged Punk. In an interview with KISS 103.5, the former revealed why he's kept provoking the latter to get back to the ring. He said,

“Well, yes, of course. Look, man. He spent five years on hiatus. Good for him, hopefully he’s got his head right. But he comes back to sit behind a desk and talk? That’s not very CM Punk. That’s not the guy that they want. That’s not what they want.”

In hindsight, it does seem plausible that Punk could take on Rollins at WrestleMania 36. The Best in the World is probably aware that a return like this would essentially be a 'one night only' type deal and he would probably want that WrestleMania main event spot that he has always chased after.

While nothing has been set in stone, anything is possible.
