After 2 long years, Daniel Bryan was finally cleared to compete.
One of the most emotional moments in the history of WWE was when Daniel Bryan had to announce his retirement in 2016. While retirement speeches are meant to acknowledge a decorated career, Bryan's retirement was forced due to injuries and concussions he tackled over the course of his wrestling career. Many of Bryan's career's big moments were short-lived due to his injuries.
After announcing his retirement, Bryan continued to remain on WWE TV as the General Manager of Smackdown Live. However, he didn't give up on his wrestling dreams and continued his struggle to get cleared to compete again. After countless attempts to convince the WWE doctors and other officials, Bryan was finally cleared to compete in March, this year. It was a huge win, both for Bryan and WWE as they got one of their best performers back. Bryan's first match back was with Shane McMahon against the team of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at Wrestlemania 34. As predicted, it was a crowd-pleasing match and the team of Bryan and Shane emerged victorious.

Ali Siddiqui is a listicle and feature writer for Sportskeeda Wrestling since 2018. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he decided to write for Sportskeeda Wrestling after learning about it through a friend. He briefly worked for The Sportster as well.
Ali's love for pro wrestling dates back to when Randy Orton won a Battle Royal to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2004. His current favorite wrestler is Cody Rhodes because he's the ultimate throwback babyface. He believes Rhodes has the Surfer Sting's passion, Bret Hart's prop-gifting schtick, a catchy theme like Hogan's, and a kid-friendly demeanor akin to John Cena's.
When he is not doing research for his articles on Google or catching up with the latest in pro wrestling, Ali can be found honing his Data Science and AI skills as he strives to get back into tech in the near future.
