This went under the radar

With everything that's happened with Kevin Owens tonight (and his recurring segments through the show), a moment that went well under the radar was the interaction between him and United States Champion Rey Mysterio.

In the early part of the show, Owens was looking for AoP and crossed paths with Mysterio and an alliance was teased between them. Mysterio offered to help Owens but the former Universal Champion refused, not wanting the legend to get involved in his business. Mysterio ended up offering him a little assistance in the form of a steel rod, something that Owens held throughout the night until the backstage segment with the car and the turn.

It was a nice little segment between two babyfaces and it's possible that somewhere down the line, we could see these two interact again and team together. It would certainly be a dream pairing and it appears to be the first time that the two men have ever crossed paths. However, it won't be the last.
