This is a night that WWE fans won't forget - primarily because Chris Jericho kept reminding them about it for years. It was the famous night of the World Championship unification, and Chris Jericho became the first person in WWE history to do so.

Chris Jericho defeated The Rock to win the WCW World Championship before defeating 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin to become the WWE Champion. It's arguably the most iconic instance of a WWE star wrestling twice in one night.

#6. Triple H and Randy Orton - No Mercy 2007

This should technically count as two entries, but since it all happened on the same night, we'll group it into one. John Cena had to vacate the WWE Championship after a reign that lasted over a year-long due to a devastating injury.

At No Mercy 2007, Vince McMahon simply handed Randy Orton the WWE Championship - marking The Viper's first official WWE title win (and second overall World Championship).

He defended the WWE title against Triple H in the first match of the night and lost it. Triple H would then wrestle his second match in the middle of the night against Umaga, successfully defending the WWE title after a struggle.

It was then revealed to him that he would have his third match of the night - in the main event against Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match. Orton defeated a worn-out Triple H to regain the WWE title - proceeding to embark on a reign that lasted for over half a year.

Triple H wrestled three times on the night and Randy Orton wrestled twice.
