Shinsuke Nakamura made his return during the latest episode of WWE SmackDown. He attacked the current United States Champion, LA Knight, following the latter's successful title defense against Legado Del Fantasma's Berto.
However, Nakamura might not be the only threat Knight could face moving forward. There is a possibility that another former United States Champion could return to align himself with Nakamura, that being none other than Logan Paul.
Paul has been out of action since losing the US title to The Megastar at SummerSlam a few months ago. Meanwhile, Knight has established himself as a fighting champion, frequently defending his title on SmackDown. During the latest episode, Knight took a verbal jab at The Maverick, criticizing his 273-day reign, during which Paul defended the title only twice before losing it.

The Maverick is unlikely to take kindly to Knight's remarks and could seek revenge. One potential angle is for Paul to return as Nakamura’s manager, much like Sami Zayn served as Nakamura’s mouthpiece during their alliance in 2019-2020.
This would not only help Nakamura with his promos but also reignite the rivalry between LA Knight and Logan Paul moving forward.
LA Knight recently talked about getting in trouble with WWE management
LA Knight has quickly established himself as one of the most popular stars in WWE since joining the main roster. One of the major reasons for this is due to his exceptional mic skills.
However, in a recent interview, Knight revealed that his approach to promos occasionally gets him into trouble with WWE management. He explained that he often prefers to deliver his promos on the spot, reacting organically to the crowd and the situation. However, this improvisational style sometimes clashes with WWE's preference for more structured and pre-planned segments. Knight shared that he has had to find a middle ground where he can showcase his natural charisma and spontaneity without crossing any boundaries.
"Sometimes I get myself in trouble because I like to work a little more off the cuff, and sometimes they [WWE management] like a little structure. I try to meet them in the middle on that, and for me, I want to listen and react instead of thinking of all this prefab. It didn't feel right to me. If I want to be as authentic as I can be and connect with everybody out there, I need to listen. Instead of going out there pre-planned, just being able to be authentically me has been a godsend. Sometimes I have to meet them in the middle, but for the most part, they're like, 'We'll let you do your thing, but just don't push it!'" he said.
It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for LA Knight moving forward.
