#2 A time-limit draw

A time-limit draw is a big reality in AEW.

Depending on the time limit attached to the title match, as we've already witnessed in Page's match with Kip Sabian and Cody's bout with Darby Allin, time constraints will come into play in AEW. It's a way to protect both stars while also prolonging a feud.

It made sense for Allin and Cody to go to a draw because the former was a hyped young prospect who shouldn't have lost and The American Nightmare is one of the bigger names in the company who also probably shouldn't have lost.

I'm not sure about Jericho's cardio at this point in his career, but with his matches in NJPW, he's versed at taking things outside of the ring for various periods of time. That could prolong the match and space out particular spots.

It's clearly been established that Page is going to be one of the top faces in the company, so Jericho might have trouble putting away the younger star. By having the match end in a draw it could also provide an ongoing TV storyline for the title if that's a desired route that AEW wants to take.
