AEW All Out: What can happen at the PPV

AEW All Out
AEW All Out

After Double or Nothing, Fyter Fest and Fight for the Fallen, All Elite Wrestling is just days away from their biggest show yet, as the company returns to Chicago a year removed from All In to present All Out. While a surprise match or two may be added to the card, the 9 matches that AEW will present on the night all look fantastic, and each offers something different to the crowd, so it's safe to say that this could be the best wrestling event of the year.

As All Elite Wrestling heads to TNT on October 2nd, this is the final chance for the company to make an impression on the wrestling universe and bring fans to their side, and it's safe to say that this card may do just that. So without further ado, sit back and read along as we look to August 31 in Chicago and predict the result of each match on the card for AEW All Out.

#9 Casino Battle Royale

Casino Battle Royale
Casino Battle Royale

While the Casino Battle Royale back at Double or Nothing may not have been widely praised, it offered some great moments, and if AEW can learn from their mistakes, this could be a huge match. We've only got a few names confirmed so far, but given all the female talent in the wrestling world today, this match could be stacked full of fresh, exciting talent for All Elite Wrestling.

With talents like Teal Piper, Ivelisse, Sadie Gibbs, Jazz, and the AEW women's roster in the match, it's quite unpredictable, as the winner will be one half of the match to crown the first-ever AEW Women's World Champion. Given that there will be surprise appearances in this one, it's quite hard to predict, but with all of AEW's current women's roster in mind, there's only one clear candidate for AEW in this bout.

Prediction: Bea Priestley wins the second-ever Casino Battle Royale.

#8 Private Party vs. Jack Evans & Angelico

While WWE has been talking about how good their tag teams are, they struggle to put that on display, but AEW has no such problem, as this bout on 'The Buy-In' is the first of 3 tag team contests on the show. While it won't be as important as the other 2, this bout has the potential to steal the show, as both teams are smooth, full of athleticism and amazing chemistry.

Private Party have been incredibly impressive in their AEW careers so far, and it's meant that the former AAA Tag Team Champions have been overlooked, but that will happen no longer. This match is going to be exciting and very fast-paced, and with momentum for the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament on the line, this one could be very important going forward.

Prediction: Private Party will continue the momentum they've built early in the life of AEW.

#7 Jimmy Havoc vs. Joey Janela vs. Darby Allin

When these 3 men teamed up at Fight for the Fallen, many expected this match to come sometime in the future, but at All Out, 3 of AEW's biggest hardcore names will get free reign to go at it. Given the no-DQ stipulation that comes with all Triple Threat matches in wrestling, this one is going to be absolutely wild, and if you are a fan of hardcore/death-match wrestling, this may be your favorite match of the night.

Each man has their strengths, and after his match with Cody at Fyter Fest, it's clear that Darby Allin is the standout here, but given all 3 men and their history, strap in for some wild moments. AEW need to develop all 3 of these men if they want their roster to be as deep as other companies, as all are potential superstars, so this match is a great chance for each to showcase themselves before AEW head to TNT.

Prediction: Darby Allin reigns supreme in a violent clash.

#6 Riho vs. Hikaru Shida

Riho vs Hikaru Shida
Riho vs Hikaru Shida

Riho has been one of the biggest surprises early in the days of All Elite Wrestling, but unfortunately for the young Joshi star, she isn't the best Japanese talent that AEW have on their women's roster. While Hikaru Shida's only AEW appearance came back at Double or Nothing, she showed just what a star she is in that limited time, and this is a chance for her to cement her spot in the women's division.

This one doesn't have too much of a story behind it, but with one spot open to challenge for the first-ever AEW Women's World Champion, this could be a big opportunity for the winner. While Riho has been a fantastic performer so far in AEW's first 3 shows, Shida is a bonafide star, and it's going to be a great contest, but ultimately, Hikaru is the best choice here.

Prediction: Hikaru Shida cements her place as a future AEW Women's World Champion.

#5 Lucha Bros (c) vs. The Young Bucks - Escalera De La Muerte (AAA World Tag Team Championships)

Lucha Bros vs The Young Bucks
Lucha Bros vs The Young Bucks

The Lucha Bros and Young Bucks have been embroiled in a very personal feud since the beginning of All Elite Wrestling, and at All Out, the rivalry seemingly comes to its climax. All 4 of these men are absolutely fearless, and given the animosity and competition between the two teams, adding ladders and no doubt other weapons, this will be a brutal clash.

Tag team wrestling is alive and well with All Elite Wrestling, and although the AAA World Tag Team Championships aren't the biggest prize in the company, it means the world to these 4 men. Ultimately, this one is going to be absolute carnage from beginning to end, and while it may not have the storytelling or intricate details of other matches on the card, it will be just as fun, and must-see wrestling for every fan.

Prediction: The Lucha Bros retain their coveted AAA World Tag Team Championships.

#4 Cody vs. Shawn Spears

Cody Rhodes vs Shawn Spears

After the brother vs. brother classic at Double or Nothing, many fans were curious how Cody could top it, but he has the chance at All Out after his former friend Shawn Spears turned on him at Fyter Fest. The infusion of the Rhodes enemy in Tully Blanchard adds another layer of intrigue to this one, and on a card that's going to have athleticism aplenty, the storytelling here will be a refreshing change, similar to Double or Nothing.

The build to this one through the 'Road to All Out' series on YouTube has been absolutely fantastic, and the personal animosity here may lead to plenty of bloodshed from both men. Either man could come out on top here and still look fantastic, but given how new his character is to All Elite Wrestling, we see The Chairman making a big statement here.

Prediction: With the help of Blanchard, Spears makes his mark early in All Elite Wrestling.

#3 The Dark Order vs. Best Friends - Winner gets a first-round bye in the AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament

The Dark Order vs Best Friends
The Dark Order vs Best Friends

Since day one, All Elite Wrestling have promised to make tag team wrestling a big priority, and given all the incredible teams on the roster, they will no doubt deliver. This is one of 3 tag team matches on the card, and that right there is already an indication of the importance tag team wrestling will play, and this is also vital to the upcoming AEW Tag Team Championship tournament.

Both teams come in with plenty of momentum and talent, and given that the loser will have a second chance to advance through the tournament, it becomes even more unpredictable. The two teams couldn't be any more different, but both are fantastic inside the ring, so no matter what happens, this could be one of the best matches on the card, but AEW seemingly have too much momentum behind The Dark Order for them to lose here.

Prediction: The Dark Order gain momentum towards becoming the first AEW World Tag Team Champions.

#2 PAC vs. Kenny Omega

PAC vs Kenny Omega
PAC vs Kenny Omega

Heading into All Out, many were expecting the clash between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega to steal the show, but unfortunately, the former WWE Champion had to withdraw due to a serious elbow injury. While some expected AEW to go with a surprise opponent on the night, they quickly replaced Mox with a familiar face, former WWE superstar, PAC.

He was announced as an AEW competitor back at the first press conference in Jacksonville, but due to 'creative differences', he withdrew from Double or Nothing, and we haven't heard much from him since. But now PAC is back, and we are getting a genuine dream match on AEW's biggest stage to date, and while Omega is no doubt the favorite, this one could go either way, but one thing is for certain, this will be an absolute classic.

Prediction: PAC upsets the Best Bout Machine in a Match of the Year contender.

#1 'Hangman' Adam Page vs. Chris Jericho - AEW World Championship

'Hangman' Page vs Chris Jericho
'Hangman' Page vs Chris Jericho

This match has been built since Double or Nothing back in May, and while the lack of AEW shows since that point has hurt the build, this one will no doubt be a fantastic contest. Despite nearing 50, Jericho is still a fantastic talent, and he's a proven draw, and with Page looking to stake his claim as the face of All Elite Wrestling, this one is tough to predict.

Given what an impact the company is trying to make as they head to TNT in October, it's likely that the known, proven commodity in Jericho is the favorite, but anything can happen in professional wrestling. Ultimately, the main event scene in AEW is absolutely stacked, so the first few months of the company on TNT is going to be incredibly exciting, but we just can't go past the veteran in this situation here.

Prediction: The Judas Effect makes Chris Jericho the first-ever AEW World Champion.
