This Saturday will see the return of AEW Double or Nothing, the company's hallmark PPV and fans are understandably excited.

With the current worldwide pandemic still trundling on and, as a result, fans not getting any closer to being live in attendance, it's shows like these that give fans around the world something to look forward to. And one of the biggest matchups on the card is the long-awaited collision between The Elite and The Inner Circle.

Originally scheduled for Blood and Guts – AEW's version of WarGames – a few months back but obviously forced to be rescheduled, this battle has been hyped up for almost as long as the young company has existed. But how could we see the match finish? Will there be any dramatic turns? Will we see domination from one side?

Well, let's not waste any more time and get into Five Potential Finishes for The Inner Circle vs The Elite at AEW: Double or Nothing.

#5 The Elite run riot

With the exception of Cody, every member of The Elite will compete in the 'Stadium Stampede' contest.
With the exception of Cody, every member of The Elite will compete in the 'Stadium Stampede' contest.

The first, and one of two most 'traditional' finishes, is that The Elite act as one solid unit, work together, run off Le Champion's group and pick up the win.

Since the formation of AEW, it's putting it lightly to say that The Elite have struggled to remain all on the same page. Individuals within of course have; The Young Bucks together are stronger than they have ever been, Kenny and The Bucks remain the core 'elite', however, it is clear for all to see that there are incredibly large cracks in the wall.

So what better way to boost morale with a massive win on a PPV? The match style itself is obviously shrouded in mystery so literally anything could happen. And if we're going to go off other matches AEW has produced, anything will, and that will hugely benefit the babyfaces here.

With the intricate, fast-paced skills of The Young Bucks, the intricate wrestling ability of Kenny Omega, the brutality of Hangman Adam Page, and the...well, whatever Matt Hardy is, it's clear that they have the ammunition in order to get the job done.

However, their opponents have a pretty good record in multi-man matches and will be heading into AEW Double or Nothing with a lot of confidence.

#4 The Inner Circle dominate

The Inner Circle have been a dominating force in All Elite Wrestling so far
The Inner Circle have been a dominating force in All Elite Wrestling so far

Moving onto the second 'traditional' option, we have The Inner Circle continuing their path of dominance within AEW and winning the first-ever 'Stadium Stampede' matchup.

Since its formation, Chris Jericho and his 'backstreet posse' of brutal competitors have absolutely run rough-shot over the AEW roster and remained at the top of the card, despite Jericho losing his precious world championship in February to Jon Moxley.

And that's why there is a huge chance that The Inner Circle could just absolutely destroy The Elite at AEW Double or Nothing, with possible help from The Elite, who could themselves find it difficult to remain united.

With the talent and natural athleticism of Sammy Guevara, the tag team connection between Santana and Ortiz, the almost unbelievable strength of Jake Hager, and the veteran instincts of Chris Jericho, you'd almost be a fool to bet against them in this one.

There is the chance however, due to the no disqualification stipulation, that we see a new member of the team suddenly make an appearance to just push that victory over the white line and get that three count.

#3 A new member enters The Inner Circle

The Inner Circle have previously recruited members, with Jeff Cobb being brought in a few months ago
The Inner Circle have previously recruited members, with Jeff Cobb being brought in a few months ago

A few months ago, The Inner Circle shocked the wrestling world by introducing the independent sensation Jeff Cobb into the world of AEW as their gun for hire. It opened up the concept that Chris Jericho could introduce anyone and everyone into the group, even just for a single night.

As a result, could we see a new member of the group make an appearance on Saturday night during AEW Double or Nothing? Or perhaps could we just see someone doing a similar job to Jeff Cobb and coming in as a mercenary, solely to get paid and help The Inner Circle win just this once.

One-off appearance at AEW Double or Nothing?

I don't have any actual predictions for who that individual could be. Of course Jeff Cobb could return but I doubt that and there is literally the entire wrestling world, with the exception of WWE, to choose from. On top of that, with the plethora of WWE releases we've seen recently- could we see someone from that group just ship to AEW and pop up? Who knows.

But the main talking point going into this match is centered around one man. A man who is currently not in the most stable of mental healths, a man who is sure to be bringing some alcohol with him and a man who will have the defining role on how this match finishes...

#2 Hangman loses it all

Hangman Page is currently going through a bit of a crisis
Hangman Page is currently going through a bit of a crisis

At AEW's Double or Nothing, the eyes of the AEW fanbase will turn, once again, to Hangman Adam Page. He's the guy that has taken center stage during the most captivating storyline currently going on within the company, one that has more layers of gray than you can count.

But will he help his brothers? Will he do what they view is right and put his differences with them aside for the greater good? Well one potential ending of this match is that its Hangman himself that loses the match-up for The Elite.

We've seen hints of it already in tag team matches. Kenny Omega looks certain to pick up the win after hitting a huge V-Trigger...before Page tags in and takes the win for himself. Or when The Young Bucks have needed help over the past couple of months, The Cowboy staggers down to the ring, beer in hand and begrudgingly helps whilst making it incredibly clear he'd rather be backstage with a bottle of alcohol.

There is a huge chance that Adam Page could eat the pinfall, or be the indirect reason, and lose the match for his AEW stablemates. However, there is also the chance that Page defines the match in another way...

#1 Cowboy saves the day

Hangman Adam Page could be The Elite's saving grace
Hangman Adam Page could be The Elite's saving grace

Hangman Adam Page is the good guy in this story.

The Young Bucks, throughout the entirety of AEW, have viewed Page as being the least important member of The Elite. Whilst themselves, Cody, and Kenny have been at the top of the world, Adam has been considered the 'little brother' of the group whilst also being made out to be the villain.

So what better way to shut everyone up than winning the biggest match in The Elite's AEW tenure, basically by himself? It's clear that The Elite, with potentially the exception of his tag team partner Kenny Omega, expects Page to let them down and be the weakest link.

So, instead of playing to that narrative and pushing the idea that Hangman is the bad guy in this situation, AEW Creative can have him win by earning the match. Page can go on to showcase his insane natural ability and ensure the spotlight is placed firmly upon him.

Even if you want to entertain the narrative of him being ungrateful after the match and ignoring the Bucks' congratulations and thank yous, that works perfectly too as Adam still doesn't feel welcome or accepted.

Regardless of what happens at AEW's Double or Nothing, it is clear that this match will be explosive with Hangman Adam Page being the spark.
