It's Show Time!
It's Show Time!

Let's roll the dice, make bank, cash in your chips and maybe you'll hit the jackpot because it's AEW Double or Nothing and it's coming this weekend on May 25, 2019, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Viva Las Vegas, Indeed. The only thing missing from this show are Elvis Presley impersonators running around on the Las Vegas strip. Maybe, they'll invade the Casino Battle Royale during the Buy-In.

What happens in Vegas may not stay in Vegas this time around. All Elite Wrestling is putting on their first major PPV event and it's sure to rock Sin City. Because The City of Lights is about to get energized with a Superkick Party, brothers at war and the ultimate battle between Alpha and Omega.

So many interesting matches on the card. So little time. Let's get to it. Here are the last minute predictions for all the matches for AEW Double or Nothing.

#9 Kip Sabian vs Sammy Guevara

Worth the price?
Worth the price?

This is probably the first match on the card and should set the trend for the rest of the night. Like the opening act for a hot band, this match has to deliver. Kip Sabian is one of the brighter talents on the independent scene. He's well known amongst the British fans and has been prominently featured on the Road to AEW Double or Nothing YouTube Series.

On the other hand, Sammy Guevara was the AAA Cruiserweight Champion and has appeared on Being The Elite numerous times. The match should be full of high-flying action and near spots.

Prediction: Sammy Guevara

#8 21-man Casino Battle Royale for an AEW World Championship opportunity

Wild Card Winner?
Wild Card Winner?

This match is really what wrestling fans are looking forward to on the professional wrestling circuit. It has a lot of young exciting talent as well as experienced wrestlers. The confirmed wrestlers for this match so far are Sonny Kiss, Brandon Cutler, Ace Romero, Glacier, Brian Pillman Jr, Sunny Daze, MJF, Joey Janela, Dustin Thomas, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Havoc, Michael Nakazawa, Jungle Boy, Isiah Kassidy, Marq Queen, Luchasaurus and Shawn Spears

That's 17 of the 21 entrants confirmed so far. This leaves room for a lot of surprises. The winner of this match gets a shot at the new AEW Championship. Their opponent will be the winner of the Kenny Omega vs Chris Jericho match later in the night. Personally, with the Hangman Page vs Pac match being cancelled, I have a feeling that Hangman Page will be the lucky #21 entrant. Had the match not been canceled, MJF would have been my choice.

Prediction: Hangman Page

#7 Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki, and Emi Sakura vs. Hikaru Shida, Riho, and Ryo Mizunami

Best of Japan?
Best of Japan?

Not many wrestling fans may know who most of these wrestlers are but they are some of the best female wrestlers that Japan has to offer. Much like Kip Sabian, AEW wants to bring the best of the international talent that the wrestling industy has to offer. And the match will have a mixture of brawn and speed.

Prediction: Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki, and Emi Sakura

#6 SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky) vs. Strong Hearts (Cima, T-Hawk, and El Lindaman)

SCU Going Over?
SCU Going Over?

The SCU are prominently featured on Being The Elite. The trio have indulged in parodies of popular films and are essentially the 'comedy' guys of AEW. But, they can move in the ring and put on good matches. The Strong Hearts are members of Oriental Wrestling Entertainment (OWE), and are part of the many partnerships that AEW has right now.

I think it's a strong bet that the Strong Hearts will go over in this match.

Prediction: Strong Hearts (Cima, T-Hawk, and El Lindaman)

#5 Best Friends (Chuck Taylor And Trent Baretta) vs. Los Güeros del Cielo (Angélico and Jack Evans)

Best Friends Forever?
Best Friends Forever?

While this match is not the most anticipated on the card, it certainly going to be quite entertaining. Los Güeros del Cielo was one of the better tag teams in Lucha Libre AAA World Wide. The Best Friends are also no different and have had great moments on Being The Elite.

Prediction: The Best Friends

#4 Dr. Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose vs. Kylie Rae

The Doctor is In
The Doctor is In

All the women in this match are well regarded in the independent industry. Kylie Rae brings speed and agility. Nayla Rose brings strength and aggression and Britt Baker brings an all-round in-ring ability as well as a very noticable on-screen presence. Considering Britt Baker was one of the first signed, it's most likely she's going over in this match.

Prediction: Dr. Britt Baker

#3 Cody vs Dustin Rhodes

Nightmare vs Natural
Nightmare vs Natural

If there was one match that is being anticipated, it's this one. While the buildup has been short, it has been credible. Some would say that this match has had a natural build up for years. While the duo did have a match together at Fastlane all those years ago, it was almost a throwaway match.

Cody Rhodes never really cared for the Stardust gimmick. He felt it was a pale imitation of Goldust, though he did find a way to make it his own thing. But for the most part, he loathed it. And to be fair, he's probably not wrong in feeling that way.

More importantly, this match has been pitched as Generation vs Generation. Dustin Rhodes has said that this could be his last match. But I don't think that's going to happen. I believe this will the start of something better. So, I'll go against the grain and go with The Natural.

Prediction: Dustin Rhodes

#2 The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) (c) vs. The Lucha Bros (Pentagón Jr.and Rey Fénix)

Sin Miedo
Sin Miedo

Who is the best tag team in the world? If there is one thing AEW has right now over WWE, it's the fact that they have some of the best tag teams around in the form of The Young Bucks and The Lucha Bros. The Young Bucks were very clear that Tag Team Action would not be regulated to pre-shows like WWE. They believe that tag teams should be main-eventing PPVs.

The buildup for this match has been immaculate. Back in March, at AAA's Rey De Reyes event, The Young Bucks captured the AAA Tag Team Championship from The Lucha Bros. This was payback for the Lucha Bros attacking them at the Ticket Annoucement Party

While it would be easy to say that The Young Bucks should go over, It's doubtful that AAA World Tag Championship titles will be on the line and not go back to AAA. Whatever the result is, both teams will have cero miedo (zero fear) when they go head to head.

Prediction: The Lucha Bros

#1 Chris Jericho vs Kenny Omega

Alpha vs Omega
Alpha vs Omega

The feud between Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega continues. Their match at Wrestle Kingdom 12 was one of the best main-events of the year at the time. Their head-to-head encounter was brilliant. More importantly, it showed what Chris Jericho was still capable of, despite being on the wrong side of 40.

Chris Jericho has been relentless that AEW only happened because of his signing. He also took credit for AEW getting a deal with TNT. It's all about the Alpha. Jericho will also debut a new move at the PPV. Kenny Omega has been training rigorously as well. Both these men are going to put on a classic.

To make things better, this match is also a #1 contendor match with the victor facing the winner of the 21-man Casino Battle Royale for the new AEW World Championship. But who will win? I think that AEW has a plan in mind. Don't be surprised if there is a run-in after the match is over, from a recently released WWE Superstar.

Prediction: Chris Jericho
