All Elite Wrestling have today announced a return to Jacksonville, Florida, with a Homecoming edition of AEW Dynamite confirmed for New Year's Day - Wednesday, January 1st.

AEW today teased a major announcement - confirming that it wouldn't be a video game, a new championship, or a move to Monday nights - before announcing that Wednesday Night Dynamite would take place live on New Year's Day - returning "home" to Daily's Place, Jacksonville, Florida, where Fight For The Fallen previously emanated from.

AEW's 2019 schedule

This week's AEW Dynamite emanates live from the Charleston Coliseum, Charleston, West Virginia, before next week's go-home show in Charlotte, North Carolina. Full Gear then takes place Saturday November 9th in Maryland, Baltimore.

Following Full Gear, there are no more events planned out with Wednesday Night Dynamite until AEW joins Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager At Sea: Part Deux at the end of January, but Dynamite rolls through Nashville, Indianapolis, Chicago, Champaign, Garland and Corpus Christi before their Homecoming show to kick off 2020.

A homecoming show wasn't the only big news coming out of AEW over the past few days, with Olympic Bronze Medallist boxer Anthony Ogogo's signing emerging from Southside Wrestling over the weekend. Cody Rhodes utilised a trip to the UK to confirm the monumental signing.

Ogogo held an unbeaten professional record right up until his final fight, ending 11-1 after losing his last ever boxing outing. He shattered an eye socket that would ultimately force the Olympian to retire from the sport with seven eye operations over two and a half years, still being unable to repair the damage completely.
