Paige surprised the whole wrestling world and Alberto Del Rio by proposing to him right in the middle of a wrestling ring. While all that sounds cute and romantic, apparently there is a twist in the tale. According to Raymond Rafool the lawyer of Del Rio’s wife, Del Rio is still legally married to Angela Velkei.
In a conversation with Pro Wrestling Sheet, Raymond has stated that their divorce is far from settled. He also warned Paige by saying that:
“Paige should watch carefully how Alberto is denying and treating his current wife and the mother of his children in this divorce. History repeats itself.”
Del Rio has been involved in a bitter divorce battle after Angela accused Del Rio of cheating and things got worse as her lawyers requested a restraining order to limit the contact between them. To make matters even worse Del Rio has also been accused of adultery which he has completely denied.
Whereas Del Rio’s version of the story is completely different as he blames Angela for “cruel treatment” against him. Apparently, both sides want full custody of their children, their house and the car as well.,
Del Rio’s relationship with Paige hit the internet on June 13th which is about 2 weeks before the date Angela filed for divorce. The couple were married in Mexico and the divorce was filed there as well.
As previously reported, earlier today Paige proposed to Del Rio at a WWC event where he was battling former WWE star Carlito. Their love story blossomed during their time spent in WWE and they have been inseparable ever since despite reports suggesting that WWE disapproved their relationship.
Apparently, the WWE were concerned about the influence of Del Rio’s partying lifestyle on Paige who is young and has a long career ahead.
As the word spread about the proposal there have been many interesting reactions, most notably from her father and her brother who are definitely not happy with Paige’s choice and made sure that they expressed their anger over social media. You can check them out right here.

The wedding bells have to wait for a little more time for Paige and Del Rio as they have to overcome this one last hurdle before the big day!
