#5. Asuka (Paid $350,000 by WWE)

The Empress of Tomorrow became the first Japanese female wrestler to sign with WWE in over 20 years.

Asuka holds the record for the longest women’s title reign in NXT (510 days). She made quite a name for herself in the developmental brand before moving to the main roster in 2017. She has won the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championship, Women's Tag Team Championship twice, and is a women’s Grand Slam Champion.

Asuka built plenty of momentum during her undefeated streak of 914 days before Charlotte Flair broke it in 2018.

The Empress of Tomorrow competed in the most number of WWE matches in 2020, and was named one of the top five of the greatest female superstars of all time by the company in 2021. She has been missing in action since June 2021, but we hope that changes soon.

#4. Alexa Bliss (Paid $350,000 by WWE)

It’s no surprise to see Bliss rank so high on this list. Her popularity with WWE fans makes her an important member on the roster.

Despite having zero wrestling experience, Alexa was signed by WWE in 2013. She made her televised in-ring debut on NXT in 2014 before moving to the main roster in 2016. She became the first woman to win both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s titles, to win a women’s Elimination Chamber match, and to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship twice.

Alexa Bliss has sported ring gear inspired by various pop culture icons like Iron Man, The Riddler, and others. But the gimmick that truly led to her entry into the main-event scene was inspired by the comic-book character Harley Quinn.

The Five Feet of Fury is currently recovering from a sinus operation. it’s unclear when she’ll return to WWE, but rest assured, it will be with a gimmick that makes everyone sit up and notice.

#3. Charlotte Flair (Paid $1.1 million by WWE)

Arguably the most controversial figure on this list, The Queen is also one of the biggest stars in the business today.

The daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair debuted at NXT in 2013 and immediately impressed everyone. It wasn’t long before she got promoted to the main roster (2015), and has had a non-stop momentous run since.

Charlotte is recognized by WWE as a 13-time women’s World Champion and looks all set to break her father’s record of 16 world titles. She was also one of the three women to headline WrestleMania for the first time in 2019.

Charlotte has received heat for her attitude at work lately. But none of that takes away the fact that she’s a remarkable performer in the ring and with the mic, and exudes charisma almost effortlessly in her character.
