I honestly thought that Samoa Joe did a great job on commentary this week, and was surprised at just how good the man was. I always knew that he was a great promo, but I didn't realize just how good he was until he filled in for Dio Maddin. One cannot take bumps forever, but the man may have opened a new career path for himself this week.
I loved the fact that he wasn't over the top and neither was he annoying like Corey Graves can be. He was analytical, and while he was a heel to the very end, he did not get his point across like a classic heel commentator like say, Bobby Heenan did. He was a heel from 2019, attuned to just what the modern audience likes to hear.
This was a vast improvement over Maddin. I loved Joe's work!
