Carmella calls out Women's Division; Not allowed on SmackDown?

The SmackDown's Women Division was well represented on Friday's show. Bayley, Sasha Banks, Lacey Evans, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, Nikki Cross, and a returning Alexa Bliss all made appearances in the ring. Dana Brooke meanwhile, was featured in a backstage segment with Elias and Drake Maverick. One Superstar who was noticeably absent was the former SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella.

Very reminiscent of what we saw from Seth Rollins on Monday, Banks and Bayley cut a promo Friday where they blamed everyone in the locker room (but themselves) for SmackDown's loss at Survivor Series. This led to Lacey Evans making her way to the ring to respond:

Evans may have gotten a chant from the crowd, but the Staten Island Princess was seemingly not a fan of the segment. In fact, she took to Twitter to beg for an opportunity to cut a promo of her own.

She didn't stop there either. Carmella left a very intriguing response to a fan who was waiting to see her come down to the ring. It appears that was not an option, as Carmella claims to not have even been in the arena.

Right now it's unclear if WWE creative didn't need Carmella for this specific SmackDown or if her absence from TV will continue. What is clear, is that she's chomping at the bit to get back out in front of the WWE Universe.
