The excitement of the 2024 WWE Draft began on SmackDown, laying the groundwork for an eventful night two scheduled for Monday. Coming to you from the vibrant T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, the April 29, 2024 episode of Monday Night RAW promises to be nothing short of thrilling.

With Backlash 2024 on the horizon, this episode of RAW marks the final opportunity for superstars to make their mark before the forthcoming event. While the first night of the WWE Draft may have been subdued, all eyes are now eagerly fixed on the upcoming RAW episode, poised to witness the exciting selections that will shape the future of WWE.

#5. Judgment Day can make its way into the WWE Draft

The Judgment Day stable, a dominant force on WWE RAW for two years, could be separated in the upcoming 2024 WWE Draft. Tensions within the group, highlighted by recent incidents, indicate a potential breakup. However, a strategic Draft could allow for a seamless transition while preserving their bond.

Key considerations include SmackDown hosting Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. With Priest no longer eligible due to being a champion, the faction is likely to split. Rhea Ripley's draft could align with Liv Morgan's, maintaining their rivalry. Finn Balor's versatility makes him a strong contender for SmackDown's world title scene. They can focus on their own growth and connect with fans better.

Despite rumors of Priest's departure from The Judgment Day, his character evolution to become a babyface, as per Wrestling Observer Newsletter, hints at a potential new direction for the stable. Let’s see if WWE chooses to keep or break up the faction.

#4. Drew McIntyre may follow CM Punk to take revenge

There were several rumors about whether Drew McIntyre would stay in WWE or not as his contract was set to expire this year. However, as per the new reports, McIntyre has renewed his contract and is here to stay.

Speaking of which, in a recent clip shared by WWE’s backstage interview, it was clear where McIntyre wanted to be during the WWE Draft last Friday.

He clearly stated, "I don't care. As long as I get drafted to where CM Punk is, and maybe where Sheamus is so I can actually watch his back because the idiot needs to get his head screwed on right. Then... yeah. I don't care about anyone else's business, I just care about mine."

During night 2 of WrestleMania 40, Punk had actually distracted McIntyre. Taking advantage of this situation, Damian Priest ran out to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and won. Also, a leaked Clash at the Castle poster showed Drew McIntyre as a primary figure at the PLE.

Hence, The Scottish Warrior could be back in the race for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship within no time.

#3. Kevin Owens can change brands

Kevin Owens and Randy Orton will team up to face the Bloodline at WWE Backlash on May 4th. Upon arrival at the arena, Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa were greeted by Paul Heyman, leading to a brawl initiated by Kevin Owens.

Randy Orton intervened, evening the odds. General Manager Nick Aldis and Teddy Long announced Owens and Orton vs. Tonga and Sikoa for WWE Backlash. In the WWE draft, Orton was drafted to SmackDown in round two, while Sikoa, Tonga, and Heyman were drafted in round three. Owens remains undrafted. Hence, this can also be the perfect opportunity for him to change his brand and get a fresh start on RAW.

Owens has been a passing thought on SmackDown for a long time; hence, changing brands can also give him a chance to fight for a title. WWE can also reconcile him with Sami Zayn, as Zayn has been in a feud with Chad Gable for too long. Nothing has been confirmed, and only time will tell where he will be drafted.

#2. Gunther is also eligible for the WWE Draft

After losing at WrestleMania 40, Gunther feels relieved to shed the burden of the Intercontinental Championship, now held by Sami Zayn. He's ready to hunt new opponents after being hunted himself. His reign on RAW as Intercontinental Champion was historic, defeating top names like Jey Uso and Drew McIntyre.

Now, aiming for the King of the Ring tournament and eyeing a world championship, Gunther's move to SmackDown could offer fresh challenges. After the WWE Draft, the challenges can include a potential showdown with Cody Rhodes, with whom he shares history from the 2023 Royal Rumble. Fans are eager to see Gunther in action against new prey, making a move to SmackDown a promising prospect.

#1. CM Punk returns on RAW for the WWE Draft

Following his address to the audience on the first night of the draft, CM Punk is set to make another appearance on the April 29 episode of RAW. This marks his first draft participation since 2011, adding to the excitement surrounding his potential role.

While his health might affect his immediate in-ring return, Punk's star power positions him as a strong candidate for the WWE draft, likely on RAW Night 2. If not drafted, there are various roles he could play, including initiating a post-draft feud or joining the commentary team. Furthermore, Punk may help announce the selections or perhaps act as the Special Guest Host, bringing an air of surprise to the occasion.

As anticipation grows for his next move in the WWE Draft, rumors circulate about possible fights with opponents like Drew McIntyre. Whether he emerges to challenge opponents or surprise fans with a stunning comeback, Punk's presence at the forthcoming draft event will undoubtedly electrify the WWE audience.
