CM Punk has been engaged in a long-standing rivalry with Seth Rollins since December. Things have not been going in his favor lately, as The Visionary, alongside his heel faction, has constantly been brutalizing him on RAW. This tussle may lead to Punk being written off, missing the upcoming Night of Champions event.
After being attacked twice in a row at the 2025 Saturday Night’s Main Event and then at the go-home edition of RAW last week, CM Punk might try to get his revenge on Rollins and his heel crew.
In a shocking twist, Punk might once again get outnumbered while trying to take on Rollins' faction and could be destroyed by them. WWE might write him off television, prompting him to miss the upcoming Night of Champions 2025 Premium Live Event.
There were conflicting reports about CM Punk’s appearance at the Saudi Arabia event, with experts taking note of his prior remarks about the same.
Although Punk recently expressed that he had no problem competing in Saudi Arabia, it seems he won't be at the event after all, as he was first advertised for Night of Champions and then replaced by Seth Rollins.
This might lead to the Stamford-based promotion writing Punk off television, and he may return with fire and rage after Night of Champions 2025 to build momentum for SummerSlam 2025.
That said, the proposed angle above is mere speculation based on current developments, and nothing has been confirmed.
Seth Rollins wants CM Punk “gone” from WWE
While in an interview with the Up & Adams Show, Rollins discussed CM Punk and expressed that he was a "bad dude," and he and his crew ensured he did not participate in the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Furthermore, he claimed he wanted CM Punk gone from the Stamford-based promotion.
“We made sure that Punk wasn't in the ladder match. Punk is not good for what we do. He's a bad dude. I have put it out there many times, he's not a good dude. Yes, we made sure Punk wasn't in this Money in the Bank ladder match. I have dealt with CM Punk for far too long. This guy shouldn't even be in my windspace. I want him gone. I want him out of here. He doesn't deserve a spot in a high-profile match like this," said Seth Rollins.
It will be interesting to see how the Punk-Rollins saga unfolds in the coming months.
