CM Punk and Drew McIntyre's rivalry has been one of the biggest highlights of WWE in 2024. The two men have capitalized on every opportunity to embarrass each other.
During his current heel run, Drew McIntyre has been reckless on social media. He has taken multiple shots at CM Punk and recently sparked controversy by sharing a photo with Jack Perry on his X (formerly Twitter) account. For those not aware, The Best in the World was on bad terms with Perry last year, which ultimately led to his termination from AEW.
However, it does not look like CM Punk will be offended by McIntyre sharing that picture with Perry. He has been very happy in WWE since his return and will not leave the company. Previously, Punk left WWE in 2014 but returned to the promotion at Survivor Series 2023.

The veteran likely gave the green light to McIntyre before he shared the photo with Perry. Even if that is not the case, Punk and McIntyre probably settled the matter behind the scenes, which could be the reason why The Scottish Warrior deleted his post later.
According to the latest report on the situation, Punk and McIntyre have been working closely on their feud. The Best in the World allowed The Scottish Warrior to make references to his backstage issues in AEW much ahead of time.
Therefore, there is no heat on McIntyre from WWE officials. A recent report also revealed that Punk is working on getting his WWE contract restructured because he wants to stay with the Stamford-based promotion forever if everything goes well.
CM Punk stated that Drew McIntyre will never be champion while he is in WWE
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre are set to collide at WWE SummerSlam next week. Their match will feature Seth Rollins as the special guest referee.
After Punk got injured during the Men's Royal Rumble match earlier this year, McIntyre took credit for it and mocked The Best in the World. Since then, Punk has made The Scottish Warrior's life hell and cost him the World Heavyweight Championship three times.
Following his surprise appearance at Clash at the Castle last month, Punk promised that he would never let McIntyre become a champion.
"No animosity towards Drew [McIntyre] for the injury; the animosity comes from being gleeful about it. He said he prayed for it; now I am going to prey on him. And he's never going to ever be a champion here as long as I live. Not as long as we are on the same brand, not as long as we are in the same company."
CM Punk's encounter against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam will be The Best in the World's first televised singles match in WWE in ten years.
