There are four separate wrestlers in the WWE tied with 8 tag team title reigns. The New Day tag team of Big E and Xavier Woods have won 6 SmackDown tag titles and 2 RAW tag titles.

Since the group defends the title as per 'Free bird rule' alongside Kofi Kingston, Woods has been champion twice despite being injured and not seen on WWE TV.

Despite this, New Day is rightly credited with revolutionizing the WWE tag team scene and helped elevate the likes of the Usos and The Bar to greater heights. They are a merchandise moving machine, and have arguably become the most popular WWE tag team since the Hardy Boyz.

The Miz is another WWE Superstar with 8 title reigns. One of the most versatile tag team champions in the list, Miz has won tag titles with 5 different partners.

While he has won three championships alongside John Morrison - the last one nearly a decade after their first - he also has two title reigns with the Big Show. Additionally, he won one tag title alongsideJohn Cena, Damien Sandow and Shane McMahon.

Miz might be the most decorated WWE Superstar without a consistent main event run, with eight Intercontinental title wins to go with his two US titles and a solitary WWE Championship which resulted in a WrestleMania main event as well.

The fourth Superstar with 8 tag title belts is Miz's former partner, The Big Show. In the WWE, Show has two tag title runs each with the likes of Kane, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker and The Miz. The Unified tag team title run with Jericho revitalised his career in the late 2000's, making Show part of the RAW main event scene once again.

He can claim to be considered higher in the list owing to his three WCW tag team title runs, but those happened before WCW was acquired by the WWE.
