Daniel Bryan would have loved to be called "Buddy Peacock"

Jericho asked Bryan why his name was changed from Bryan Danielson, which is his birth name and the name he used while competing in promotions such as Ring of Honor and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. Bryan said it was pretty much because WWE wanted to own the rights to his name. He also said WWE asked him for a list of 10 names, and confirmed William Regal was the person who came up with his new in-ring name. He told Jericho he had some pretty outlandish names suggested, and that he wanted to be known as Bryan Danielson. He said his independent fans were very upset with the shift, explaining he didn't have a whole lot of followers until Jericho interjected and said he was very well known on the independent scene. Some names suggested were Buddy Peacock (his personal favorite), since the fans could either chant "Buddy" or "Peacock." Another funny name on his list was Lloyd Boñier. http://youtu.be/nnKwgWVoYhc
