Daniel Bryan was scheduled to compete in a lengthy match against his former NXT star Wade Barrett this week on WWE RAW. However, the match was cancelled after the promo segment between Paul Heyman and his client CM Punk was around 4 minutes longer than intended.
Instead of reducing the time limit for their match, the match was completely scrapped and the time remaining was added to Rob Van Dam’s highly-appreciated match against Chris Jericho.
Daniel Bryan was selected by John Cena to face him at SummerSlam for the WWE title. Bryan has been a sure-shot crowd favourite and the match at SummerSlam will certainly determine the ‘Face’ of the WWE.
