WWE Night of Champions 2023 match card has finally taken its complete shape. The Premium Live Event will emanate from the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, May 27.
Two new matches were made official for WWE Night of Champions on the May 22nd episode of RAW. It was announced that Rhea Ripley will defend her SmackDown Women’s title against Natalya. Mami cut a promo wherein she said she’ll end the BOAT’s career in Saudi Arabia.
A title defense against Natalya means that The Eradicator is retaining the championship this Saturday. Having said that, Triple H needs to find a formidable opponent for Mami to legitimize her reign as the top women’s champion on WWE RAW.
Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus was also made official for WWE Night of Champions. The two women engaged in a war of words during their contract signing. The Man also referenced Trish’s infamous segment with Vince McMahon on the red brand. The WWE Hall of Famer needs to win this match in order to set up her rumored rematch against Lynch at SummerSlam 2023.
The WWE Night of Champions match card features seven matches in total. The main event for this Saturday was revealed by Paul Heyman during the opening segment of the red brand. WWE is hyping up their Saudi event with triple main events. For those unaware, one of these matches will be contested for the Tag Team Titles and the World Heavyweight Championship.
There are signs that Seth Rollins will defeat AJ Styles in the tournament final to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. The Visionary once again didn’t appear live on RAW this week. Instead, WWE aired his pre-taped sitdown interview with Corey Graves.
The outcome of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, on the other hand, needs to be in favor of the defending champions. Roman Reigns should be the one to be at the receiving end of the pinfall at WWE Night of Champions.
Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes will be one of the matches in the triple main events at WWE Night of Champions. The match has been built around Cody’s toughness, and he needs another win over the Beast in order to move to a fresh opponent. Fans can expect another bloodbath between the two formidable performers.
The Intercontinental Championship match and the RAW Women’s Championship match are the final title matches on the card. Though a lot of fans want Gunther to retain, WWE could be planning a huge upset for the Ring General this Saturday.
In regards to the women’s title match, Asuka needs to get the win and get the moment she failed to grab at WrestleMania 39.

Brock Lesnar destroys Cody Rhodes ahead of WWE Night of Champions 2023
This week’s edition of RAW didn’t get its usual opening as Brock Lesnar attacked Cody Rhodes backstage.
The Beast took out the American Nightmare with a sneak attack. He then sent Cody crashing through different objects. The segment ended with Lesnar seemingly breaking Cody’s arm with a metal container.
The confrontation, however, didn’t end there. Cody appeared later during the show to attack Lesnar. The Beast responded by applying the Kimura on his Night of Champions opponent. Cody was taken to the back, where he refused medical attention. Triple H appeared in the closing moments of the show to have a word with the American Nightmare.
It remains to be seen how the match will go down this Saturday at WWE Night of Champions 2023.
