In case you didn’t know...

For a few years now fans have been wondering just how much the guys and girls in developmental are paid, although it has been confirmed by the likes of Alexa Bliss that their travel is usually paid for. Now, it seems as if we may finally have a definitive answer.

The heart of the matter

Incoming names in NXT are supposedly paid $65,000 per year, according to the Observer. This includes some of the bigger stars such as Adam Cole and Ricochet who have walked through the doors of the Performance Center in the last few months.

What’s next?

As NXT and WWE as a whole continues to grow, there’s a chance that this number will go up, but for now, don’t expect too much more information to be released after this news.

Author’s take

Whichever way you look at it $65,000 is a great amount of money to be paid on a yearly basis, especially given that most of the superstars down in NXT are only just starting out on their pro wrestling journey. Plus, there's always a chance that the report from the Observer is inaccurate, so we should take this story with a pinch of salt.
