From the WWE Rumor Mill: WWE has started teasing The Underataker vs John Cena for WrestleMania 34
What's the story?
People have been wanting to see the clash between The Undertaker and John Cena at 'The Grandest Stage of Them All' for a long time now.
As reported by Cageside Seats, there is indeed speculation that John Cena's promo on Monday Night RAW this week was definitely a reference to The Undertaker and WWE is looking to set up the match at WrestleMania 34.
In case you didn't know...
The Undertaker laid his hat, coat and gloves down in the middle of the ring at WrestleMania 33 last year after losing to Roman Reigns and we looked to have witnessed the end of one of the greatest careers in WWE history.
Since there was no official confirmation from WWE regarding the retirement, fans speculated that The Undertaker might return for one more match at 'The Showcase of the Immortals'.
The heart of the matter
Previously, it was reported that the match between The Undertaker and John Cena was still planned to happen at WrestleMania 34 and the angle will be set after Elimination Chamber if it's still the desired direction.
This week on RAW, John Cena opened the show and came down to the ring to address his determination to headline WrestleMania. Cena pointed at the WrestleMania sign and shared the importance of the event in the life of a WWE superstar. Then came the most interesting part of the promo, when John Cana said that WrestleMania can 'bring a legend back from the dead'.
According to speculation by Cageside Seats, John Cena's promo on Monday Night RAW this week was definitely a reference to The Undertaker and WWE is still headed for that match at WrestleMania 34.
There's still one more Raw left before the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view which is scheduled on February 25th. WWE has already teased the match with Cena's promo this past week and the coming weeks are going to be full of easter eggs about the match between 'The Phenom' and 'The Leader of Cenation'.
An angle for the match is expected to ne set up after Elimination Chamber but such small clues are making the weekly shows more interesting. This is one of those matches fans have wanted to see on WrestleMania since a long time and WWE seems to be finally going for it.
