Cody Rhodes will put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Solo Sikoa at WWE SummerSlam. It will arguably be his biggest test since becoming champion but he might just have given himself more than he can deal with.
The American Nightmare agreed to a Bloodline Rules stipulation on their title match after Solo Sikoa demanded it. His overconfidence came into play on tonight's WWE SmackDown as he berated Sikoa's Bloodline group and dubbed his challenger a 'wannabee' Tribal Chief. This could haunt Rhodes as he may have bitten off more than he can chew.
Cody Rhodes' willingness to add Bloodline Rules to the match stems from how he won the title. He beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL with the stipulation in place, and perhaps he feels he works best under such rules.

However, this might only intensify Sikoa's desire to win, as he'll be challenging for the title and looking to defend the Bloodline's honor. He may want to do what Reigns could not do and defeat Rhodes with the stipulation in place.
One of WWE's all-time greatest factions could look weak if its match concept leads to consecutive setbacks. There comes a point where you'd consider asking whether it's Bloodline Rules or Rhodes Rules. Sikoa's match might have just become a must-win for himself and his group at WWE SummerSlam.
Cody Rhodes has also paved the way for The Bloodline to assist a Solo Sikoa win at WWE SummerSlam
Cody Rhodes loves a challenge and spent the past two years looking to finish his story. He did just that at 'Mania in the most dramatic of circumstances, thanks to a long list of interferences in the main event.
A Bloodline Rules stipulation suggests similar shenanigans will ensue at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa are likely to make their presence felt. They stood on the side of the ring ropes during the two rivals' promo battle at the start of tonight's WWE SmackDown.
Thus, Rhodes might also have opened the door for Bloodline 2.0 to wreak havoc and ensure Sikoa's win. The American Nightmare may have a plan up his sleeves and might have Randy Orton and Kevin Owens come to his rescue at WWE SummerSlam.
However, the former AEW star claimed he wasn't afraid of any of Sikoa's henchmen. That's just poking the bear (or the Samoan Werewolf) whom he called a 'son of a b***h.' Talk about antagonizing a group of mercenaries while your back is up against the wall.
