The most recent episode of SmackDown had many hits and misses and The Big Dog mascot segment was certainly a miss if you ask the WWE Universe.

Many fans have speculated that the man under the Big Dog costume may have been Roman Reigns himself, however, it wasn't.

As revealed by 'The Local Competitor' Twitter handle via the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast and Create a Pro Wrestling Academy, the man who donned the mascot's costume was an independent wrestler named Stephen Azure.

Azure is part of the Even Stevens tag team along with Steve Somerset, and the team competes for Create a Pro Wrestling as well as for Long Island-based promotion Victory Pro Wrestling.

Although we have seen it before, Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin are feuding yet again on SmackDown Live. The angles between Reigns and King Corbin thus far have followed the typical WWE pattern.

It may come across as cringe-worthy television to a section of the fans, however, Vince McMahon reportedly loves what he's getting from his writers.

The WWE boss was said to be howling with laughter at the sight of the Big Dog mascot from last week, and if that is to be believed, these segments aren't stopping anytime soon

The predictable outcome in this situation would be to have Reigns under the costume in the coming weeks to unleash an attack on Baron Corbin.

Reigns and Corbin are rumored to face each other in a match at the TLC PPV next month and a Dog Collar stipulation is being discussed backstage.
