Here are the spoilers for tonight’s Impact Wrestling tapings

Impact Wrestling’s April 20th episode will air on tape delay and featured a couple of championship matches to boot. Before we proceed, please note- Spoiler Alert. And now that we’ve got that out of the way, here’s the story from tonight’s (April 20th, 2017) Impact tapings.


#1 Impact Wrestling opened the show with an homage to the late-Rosey (Matthew Tapunuu Anoa’i)


#2 LAX vs. Holmes and Coleman; Decay brawl:

The opening match of the night saw LAX (The Latin American Xchange) defeat Jake Wayne Holmes and Joe Coleman. Konnan cut a promo after the match and stated that LAX was back in the cut and was serious like a late period. The LAX manager went on to introduce all the members of the faction when Decay came out and interrupted the segment. Decay and LAX broke into a brawl and security separated them after a few brief exchanges.


#3 Karen Jarrett and Bruce Prichard:

This segment was followed by Karen Jarrett coming out to the Impact Zone. She announced that GFW (Global Force Wrestling) and Impact had officially merged. Sonjay Dutt came out and said that that was amazing to be back in the Impact Zone. He reminisced that many years ago he was the pioneer of the X Division and alluded to the fact that he and his fellow X Division stars made it the cornerstone of the company.

Dutt requested Karen to make the X-Division championship match the main-event of the evening and asked her to include him in said match. He claimed that he wanted to do something he’d never done before and win the X Division title. Everett came out and stated that he respected Dutt but asserted that he wanted to fight Trevor Lee all by himself. Gregory Shane Helms and Trevor Lee interrupted, with Helms saying that he ran the X Division and that no one asked for Sonjay to come back.

Bruce Prichard then interrupted the heels and stated that Helms didn’t run anything. Speaking on behalf of Dutch Mantel, Prichard declared that the X-Division championship match would be the main event of the show and that it would be a 6-way matchup. This was followed by Helms and Lee attacking Everett and Dutt, but the babyfaces fought them off. The segment ended with Everett and Dutt holding the X Division belt replete with a staredown.


#4 Rosemary defends her title against ODB:

In the next match, Rosemary defeated ODB and successfully defended her Knockouts Championship in the process. It was then revealed that Suicide was the 4th entrant in the main event. The following match saw Kongo Kong (w/ KM, Laurel Van Ness and Sienna) defeat Chris Sylvio.


#5 Alberto El Patron and Magnus:

The segment that followed was a taped promo of Alberto El Patron who indicated that he was keeping his eye on the world title match. GFW champion Magnus returned and stated that he had a problem with El Patron and questioned the merit of the latter’s claim to an Impact title shot. Magnus asserted that he was next in line for a shot at the Impact Championship since he was the GFW champion.


#6 Lashley vs. Storm; EC3 turn:

The next match saw Lashley (w/Josh Matthews) defeat James Storm (w/EC3) after EC3 turned on Storm during the match, smashing a beer bottle on the Cowboy’s head during a ref bump. It was then revealed that Dezmond Xavier was the 5th participant in the 6-way X-Division title match and that the final participant would be a surprise entrant.

#7 Chris Adonis and Davey Richards blindside Moose:

Impact then aired footage of Border City Wrestling from over the weekend where Chris Adonis attacked Moose. Adonis told Moose that he was hurt, but he did have a friend who would challenge Moose. Davey Richards was then shown attacking Moose.

#8 Main Event- 6-Way X-Division championship match:

The main event of the evening saw 6 wrestlers do battle for the X Division championship. The 6th participant in the matchup was revealed to be Low Ki (ex-WWE Superstar Kaval). Low Ki won the 6-way main event matchup and captured the X Division title.

Low Ki defeated Trevor Lee, Sonjay Dutt, Everett, Dezmond Xavier and Suicide, for the X Division title.
