Here are the spoilers for tonight’s Impact Wrestling tapings

Impact Wrestling’s April 20th episode will air on tape delay and featured a couple of championship matches to boot. Before we proceed, please note- Spoiler Alert. And now that we’ve got that out of the way, here’s the story from tonight’s (April 20th, 2017) Impact tapings.

#1 Impact Wrestling opened the show with an homage to the late-Rosey (Matthew Tapunuu Anoa’i)

#2 LAX vs. Holmes and Coleman; Decay brawl:

The opening match of the night saw LAX (The Latin American Xchange) defeat Jake Wayne Holmes and Joe Coleman. Konnan cut a promo after the match and stated that LAX was back in the cut and was serious like a late period. The LAX manager went on to introduce all the members of the faction when Decay came out and interrupted the segment. Decay and LAX broke into a brawl and security separated them after a few brief exchanges.

#3 Karen Jarrett and Bruce Prichard:

This segment was followed by Karen Jarrett coming out to the Impact Zone. She announced that GFW (Global Force Wrestling) and Impact had officially merged. Sonjay Dutt came out and said that that was amazing to be back in the Impact Zone. He reminisced that many years ago he was the pioneer of the X Division and alluded to the fact that he and his fellow X Division stars made it the cornerstone of the company.

Dutt requested Karen to make the X-Division championship match the main-event of the evening and asked her to include him in said match. He claimed that he wanted to do something he’d never done before and win the X Division title. Everett came out and stated that he respected Dutt but asserted that he wanted to fight Trevor Lee all by himself. Gregory Shane Helms and Trevor Lee interrupted, with Helms saying that he ran the X Division and that no one asked for Sonjay to come back.

This was followed by Helms and Lee attacking Everett and Dutt, but the babyfaces fought them off. The segment ended with Everett and Dutt holding the X Division belt replete with a staredown.

#5 Alberto El Patron and Magnus:

The segment that followed was a taped promo of Alberto El Patron who indicated that he was keeping his eye on the world title match. GFW champion Magnus returned and stated that he had a problem with El Patron and questioned the merit of the latter’s claim to an Impact title shot. Magnus asserted that he was next in line for a shot at the Impact Championship since he was the GFW champion.
