This was
This was quite a wild show

Impact Wrestling brought a great show this week complete with a Grand Championship Title match, and fans found out who will be in the finals to determine who will get a chance to capture the vacant Knockouts Championship.

There was also no shortage of love lost between oVe and LAX as well, which is always fodder for a good time. Of course, you never know what Alberto El Patron is going to do either as he continues his quest to regain his Impact Global Championship.

Let's see what Impact Wrestling brought to the table as they aired another exciting show direct from Canada.

Backstage Promo

The show started with Alberto El Patron bashing Eli Drake Backstage. El Patron called him a "paper champion" and doesn't seem too happy about losing to Johnny Impact last week and he will seek his revenge.

Caleb Konley (with Trevor Lee) vs. Taiji Ishimori

These two had a nice little match with some back and forth chain wrestling which is always good to see executed well. Trevor Lee got involved and tried to distract Ishimori but Konley bumped into him.

In the end, Ishimori fought out of a nice submission hold from Caleb Konley but gets backhanded for his troubles. Taiji Ishiimori caught a reversal and headed to the top rope for a 450 Splash for the win.

Winner: Taiji Ishimori

After the match was over, Trevor Lee got in the ring and started stomping away at Ishimori. The crowd had some great heat on him but Dezmond Xavier ran down to make the save. It became a shouting match at that point.

Sienna vs. Rosemary vs. Allie (Knockouts Championship Tournament Match)

This is another match on their way to determining who could be with the vacant Knockouts Championship.

This match had a lot of intensity and a ton of personality as well. After several close calls and back and forth moments. Each woman got some nice spots in and the crowd was very much behind this contest.

In the closing moments, Allie hit a codebreaker and Rosemary hit a suplex on Sienna which took her out. Then Rosemary hit the Red Wedding on Allie for the win. It was a very good match between three females who really wanted to prove themselves.

Winner: Rosemary via pinfall

Now Rosemary will face Laurel Van Ness in the finals of the tournament on next week's show.

LAX and oVe Continue To Heat Up

T
They are quite a trio

oVe cut a scathing promo

Sami Callihan was in the ring with Impact World Tag Team Champions oVe. They mocked the Canadian National Anthem and everyone else unless you're from Ohio. That was sort of a funny bit in a way.

Then LAX became the target of the promo and how things got out of hand although oVe and Callihan aren't scared because this is gang warfare. Callihan said LAX will get a rematch but it will be under their rules.

A team comes out called TDT who are local to Canada and speak French. Then oVe were given a really bad time after Callihan got kicked in the face and they took a splash in the corner. Then Callihan grabbed a trusty kendo stick and started going to town on everyone before hitting a piledriver.

They stacked three chairs on top of each other and oVe went for the All Seeing Eye but LAX ran down for the save with kendo sticks in hand. Konnan took Callihan out with a kendo stick. oVe and LAX continued to yell at each other while Callihan and crew left up the ramp.

Backstage Responses

Meanwhile, in the LAX Lair they were hyping up how much they don't care for oVe right now. Then they celebrated with a toast.

Eli Drake and Chris Adonis are backstage and give an interview where Adonis said he's had "bigger bowel movements than Petey Williams"... that's classy. Eli Drake said he's the American Destroyer, gravy train, and he's going to run over Impact Wrestling along with Williams.

Grand Championship and Th row Back Thursday

This
This was a great confrontation

Matt Sydal vs. Ethan Carter III (Grand Championship Match)

This match is set up in the usual Grand Championship style with three rounds. The two guys had a nice opening exchange and it moved outside. Ethan Carter III slammed Sydal's head off the apron a few times and then they moved back inside. EC3 captured the first fall after a vertical suplex that ended Round 1.

EC3 up 1-0

Matt Sydal got busy right away during the second round and hit a running knee for a two count. After some more back and forth action, Sydal hit a standing hurricanrana, EC3 got on the apron and had his feet kicked out from underneath him and Sydal hit a dropkick through the ropes. Round one ended after EC3 received a kick to the back of the head.

Tied at 1-1

EC3 got a cheap shot in before this round kicked off. The two fought well after that with some reversals and other smooth wrestling. They really did work well together but that is to be expected when you're talking about these two because they really are on the top of their games.

Carter hit a flatliner for a two count, then he tried for a One Percenter but it was reversed and Sydal hit a few knees to the face which didn't look pleasant to take. In the end, Sydal went for a shooting star press but Ethan Carter III moved and they both bumped heads as the third round concluded.

Match Ends In Draw - EC3 retains the Impact Wrestling Grand Championship

Bobby Roode vs James Storm

Yes, you read that right. Impact Wrestling featured a match "from the vault" between Roode and Storm. This match was mainly highlights from their 2012 Bound For Glory confrontation. After Roode took a superkick and fell back into a pile of thumbtacks, James Storm covered for the win.

Winner: James Storm via pinfall

Park, Park, and Park

They played a commercial for Park, Park, and Park. A guy slipped and fell so Joseph and Chandler roll in and ask him if he has legal representation. Then they tell him they have his back.

They throw out a bunch of scenarios of accidents and say "we are here for you!" That's a neat gimmick they have going there.

Lashley and Dan Lambert vs. Moose and James Storm

This match was nothing pretty but as Jim Ross once said, "it ain't ballet." These guys choked each other for a bit and hit some strikes. It was pretty rough to watch and looked like everything they did hurt.

Dan Lambert got chased around the ring by Moose but Bobby Lashley stopped him with a stiff clothesline. Lashley hit a powerbomb on Moose in the corner and then hit a spear.

James Storm hit an atomic drop and a neck breaker, after Lashley's headband fell off Storm put it on which was a nice little piece of business. One of the American Top Team members jumped in with a neck brace on and gets hit with an ax kick by Moose.

Lashley hit Storm with a spear and Lambert tagged in to get the pinfall. Lashley didn't look too happy about Dan Lambert coming in and taking the credit for the win. But at least they won.

Winners: Lashley and Dan Lambert via pinfall

Backstage, Johnny Impact and Petey Williams were interviewed and Impact thanked Wiliams for his help last week. Petey Williams replied by stating that things are different up in Canada and he didn't like the way Impact was being treated.

Then Johnny Impact told Alberto El Patron not to get involved tonight because they were focusing on Eli Drake and Chris Adonis.

Eli Drake and Chris Adonis vs. Petey Williams and Johnny Impact

These two teams really had a fire under them and they pulled out all the stops in this encounter. Both teams used some good tag team offense and utilised the tagging in and out well.

There was a nice spot early on when Adonis was down in the corner so Williams tripped Drake so he fell on his own partner giving him a low blow in the process because that's always a fun spot.

Petey Williams took a lot of abuse and although Impact did run in for the save there was little he could do to really initiate a tag. Williams hit two hurricanranas in a row and although it was unsuccessful in winning the match, Johnny Impact finally got the hot tag.

Impact hit a rolling neckbreaker pin on Adonis but Eli Drake broke up the pin. Petey Wiliams hit a codebreaker and a side Russian legsweep as the crowd really got behind him. He attempted a Canadian Destroyer but Chris Adonis latched on the Adonis Lock.

Johnny Impact hit a springboard kick and Eili Drake was tossed to the outside. Finally, Impact hit the Starship Pain on Adonis and secured the win for the babyface team.

Winners: Petey Williams and Johnny Impact via pinfall

After the match was finished Eli Drake got in the ring with the Impact Global Championship. Alberto El Patron came through the crowd and hit Drake from behind and threw him into the ring post. Alberto El Patron picked up the title and sat it down.

Then El Patron gave Drake a DDT on the title. The show closed with Johnny Impact and Alberto El Patron looking at each other as Petey Williams held back Impact from rushing El Patron.
