Dominik Mysterio is presently taking a brief break from in-ring action.

On the April 22 edition of WWE RAW, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh were slated to compete against Andrade and Ricochet. However, prior to the match, Dominik was seen backstage with his arm in a sling, confiding in his Judgment Day ally Damian Priest about some minor injuries. As a result, he opted to have Santos Escobar step in for him in the tag team bout later tonight. Fans had been speculating whether the injury was real or not.

“I’m a little banged up,” said Dom during the segment.

Mysterio's most recent in-ring appearance was on the April 15th edition of WWE RAW, where he faced off against Andrade, unfortunately ending in defeat. Following the match, tensions escalated as McDonagh and Mysterio together assaulted Andrade, prompting Ricochet to intervene and restore order. Subsequently, WWE announced a tag team match that had initially been scheduled for tonight. Notably, Mysterio was absent from any in-ring action during WWE's recent United Kingdom tour.

It's been confirmed that Mysterio's injury is indeed legitimate. At present, there's no information available regarding when he might make a return to in-ring action. Further specifics about the injury remain uncertain for now. He has not been having a great time so far.

Dominik Mysterio’s upsetting moments since WrestleMania

Dominik Mysterio has faced a series of challenges in recent weeks following the conclusion of WrestleMania 40. His month kicked off with a significant tag team loss alongside Santos Escobar against their longtime rivals, including his father Rey Mysterio and Andrade El Idolo.

More recently on WWE RAW, Dominik had to say goodbye to his Mami, Rhea Ripley, who will be taking time off to recover from a shoulder injury sustained after a backstage attack by Liv Morgan. Rhea gracefully vacated the WWE Women’s World Title to focus on her rehabilitation process. Triple H has been having new plans for the championship belt.

Later, he was unable to participate in the European Tour, likely due to the injury sustained around that time. Ricochet stepped in to take his place on the tour. Clearly, it looks like Dirty Dom has not been having a great time since his WrestleMania 40 loss.

With Mami gone on an injury-enforced break, will Dom be also replaced in The Judgment Day? Well, only time will tell.

We wish Dominik Mysterio a speedy recovery and hope he gets well soon. There have been no new developments regarding his return schedule yet.
