Randy Orton is set for his first title match in nearly 20 months. The Viper, along with LA Knight and AJ Styles, will challenge Roman Reigns for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match at the Royal Rumble. That being said, WWE may have teased another mega feud for the 14-time World Champion on SmackDown this week.
Orton was supposed to team up with LA Knight and AJ Styles against The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa) on the blue brand tonight. However, the Viper was spiked by The Enforcer before the match. He did make his return in the final moments of the match to put away Jimmy with an RKO.
Orton, Knight, and Styles would then join forces to take out Solo Sikoa with a triple powerbomb through the announce table. This angle might lead to a program between WWE's Apex Predator and the former NXT North American Champion.
Solo is no stranger to removing big names from competition. He defeated John Cena in their singles match at Crown Jewel 2023. While Cena's Hollywood career prevented him from having a lengthy feud with Solo, the same doesn't seem to be a hindrance for Randy Orton.
Solo Sikoa to cost Randy Orton his title match at Royal Rumble 2024? Looking at the possibility
Solo Sikoa has helped Roman Reigns retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on multiple occasions in the past. The Enforcer of The Bloodline infamously spiked Cody Rhodes, allowing The Tribal Chief to pin the American Nightmare in the main event at WrestleMania 39.
The 30-year-old SmackDown star might cause massive trouble for Randy Orton at the upcoming Royal Rumble event. It is possible Solo could distract The Viper long enough for Reigns to retain his title – setting up a feud with the former World Champion in the process.
